The undercut gives the glue/epoxy somewhere to go when you press in the inlay material. It then hardens and keeps the inlay from popping out

You have two choices on dry times, tradtional which is 2-3 hours or you can speed it up with a common heat lamp and it will go rock hard in 10 minutes.
All epoxies are like this. The epoxy actually generates heat as its mixed. If you were to mix enough of it you could feel the heat.

I'm not sure what you are asking, I dont see a 2way switch in the schematic you posted. The only thing a 2way switch could do in that schematic is maybe reverse phase or like you said, on off switch

Lay the guitar on its back, tie a string on the bridge, the hang a string level on the string. WHen you get the string as level as possible use your protractor to determine the angle
