  1. hey dudes i have an RG 1570 with no scratchplate/pickguard and i tried looking on the net for any sites that custom make them for my model, but alas my search has rendered on all occasions a futile verdict. I was wondering if i could go about making one, im lookin for a silver mirrored style what would the process entail? thanks dudes
  2. no i mean the actual screw attached to the string stopper cums off wenever i use the allan key to loosen it as opposed to using the allan key to completely loosen the string stopper now i noe wat all the fuss about Floyd Rose tremolo's is about how i miss the days of the fixed bridge
  3. Hey guys i recently bought a nice new Ibanez 1570 with the edge-pro bridge, and about 2 hours ago i decided it was time for a string change, so im changin the strings one by one, as not to cause a collapse of the bridge into the cavity, and then wen i get to the g string the string stopper wont come out. If any of uhave the edge-pr u noe wen u use the allen key to loosen the string stopper it comes out, wats ironic is the fact the screw attached to the string stopper cums out, not the actual string stopper. Also its a bit crooked in retrospect to its brethren. Also my bridge did end up falling into the cavity how do i make it pop back up as my strings r closer to the fretboard than i want, and thus the tone is crapper thanks dudes
  4. is it logical and practical to haveur high e at .008 and ur low e on like .052? or even thicker for the low e? best of both worlds super fast shred solos and heavy rhythm riffage
  5. my biggest concern about strings is that my touch is really light, and i use quick little finger movements all the time. I'm really only concerned about the top high e and b strings, so which strings r the most sensitive and responsive? you all say the light gauge for a light touch? rite now im using standards and they sumtimes dont ring wenever i quickly touch them on my Rg 1570. I would hvae thought mayb .010's wood have been sensitive but im open to discussion
  6. hey guys i was wondering which gauage is the best for fast playing? I noe guys like satch and malmsteen use thick strings, but sum ppl say the thinnest gauage .038-.008 are the best for fast playing wats ur opinion coz i want a sensitive gauge
  7. grit paper? for wat?? im scalloping the neck first (that will make it more sensitive yeh?)
  8. Hey guys new to the forum, Anyhow i recently got my 2nd guitar a beautiful Ibanez RG 1570 after playing for one year. I'm really thinkin about modifying my old guitar an Ibanez GRX 40, and i want to first start by scalloping the fretboard. Now i now there is a tutorial here on the site about doing that but im not sure whether ill stuff it up or not. I would really like some advice on scalloping the upper frets, maybe thinning the neck and mayb putting in sum good pickups thanks from newb
