since I don't have steel wool, what bit can I use to get rid of the grime on my rosewood fingerboard? the polishing bit or the brush bit? please no suggestions like the router bit or drill bit or little bit.
thanks

eh? the nut is stock ESP and the action at 12th fret is about 1.75/16" and 1.5/16" at the 12th and about 3/64" at the 1st. it seems as if the frets are rounder and higher near the 24th fret.
-
why is the action of the 12th fret higher than the 24th fret of my guitar? is it supposed to be like that? isn't it supposed to be higher on the 24th fret than on the 12th fret?

I don't have access to all that fancy equipment and tools... so therefore I must use something that is within reach. would a dremel with a polishing tip do?
thanks

Is the MP3 player expandable? How much you want for it?
i dunno man. You can come up with a price. want pictures? runs on conventional batteries so it's awesome when you go the plane (hate it when iPods die on the go!!). AAA. has expension slot. I'll give you the details soon... if you're interested... thanks.
EDIT: NEVERMIND, the mp3 player has 64megs built-in!! which makes 96 after the expansion upgrade!!

does anyone make Warwick copy bodies? preferrably the Thumbs. I'm attracted to their small design. or while I'm at it, where can I find Spector bodies? Warmoth doesn't have any of them...
thanks

thanks for the replies.
how elaborate is the design? it's not gonna be a still-life painting or a fantasyscape - it's gonna be abstract, cubist, dada, whatever, like Picasso's or Salvador Dali's.
-
don't worry about the "bumps"...i would just paint the design on..sand it as thin and even as you can without removing it,and build up a thick clearcoat to cover it and level the clearcoat
but acrylic is like rubber. when I sand it, the whole thing will probably come off because of the tackiness with the sandpaper.

can it be the capacitor?

I'm refinishing my guitar as my art project. it will go into my art portfolio, too. however, I need some tips first. right now I'm priming my body. after I prime it, I'm gonna spray it metallic blue. and over that, I'm gonna paint on it.
what equipment should I use? I've thought about just painting things on using a paintbrush and acrylic paint, but that'll leave lots of bumps on the body. I've thought about making stencils for everything and spray painting it, but that'll take too much time. recently when I was browsing this forums, I came across airbrushing. will airbrushing work? I haven't airbrushed in my whole life. what do companies like Jackson or ESP or etc use to make custom graphics on the guitars (other than printing on paper and pasting it!)??
thanks a lot.
ps. or is printing on paper and pasting it the best/easiest way???

i have no idea, it came with my strat copy when I bought it. it was fully assembled when I first bought it. (and it was pretty damn good for a copy!)

I have one volume pot and two tone pots on my strat copy w/ bridge humbucker. why don't the tone knobs work? it's connected and everything, but when I roll them down to zero, I barely hear any difference. do I need a different capacitor or new pots? same is with the volume knob, except the volume stays same until I reach like 2 and it volume shuts off very quickly after that.
also, does anyone know what the two tone knobs control? are they assigned to different pickups or something?
thanks.
