Hitone - pronounced Hi tone, not hit one
You wouldn't say ram ones!
You would say Ramones.
Or Silvert one! It's Silvertone.
But you can just call me Rob!
if it was spelled Hightone but when i looked at hitone i see two words Hit and One.
but either way that guitar is beautiful

Hi
Im going to be building my first guitar from scratch pretty soon, so as youll imagine i will come across loads of things i will need advice on so instead of me making a post every other day with a new question i thought i may aswell just make one thread and post all my question in it. hope thats ok.
well here we go- my guitar will be a set neck DC Les paul Jnr flat top kind of guitar with a black painted mahogany neck and ebony fretboard with white binding. well i was planning on buying a pre slotted & radiused fretboard, but thinking about it i think id like to build it from total scratch because im sure this wont be my last project and i couldnt find any fretboards with binding, but is it possible to add binding to a preslotted and radiused fretboard?
the body will also have white binding, do i tape up the binding? and then spray the body black? but then wont it be unequal?do i sprat clear coat over the binding to level it out?
Thanks
more to come

Project Guitar is fine how it is, it doesn't need to be fancy it needs to functional.

Im thinking of getting this, but i was wondering if anyone has tried it. Its really cheap.
i want an amp thats good at low levels (i currently running a MG15DFX combo, i cant have that out even past 2 on the dist. channel) but i will be getting gigs soon (hopefully lol) so i need something that is loud aswell.

The pickup had a trap door in it. the door fell when the button was pushed (one of the unused pots) and lit the homemade smokebomb and lit up a halogen light. However, it still catches fire Perviously he just had it in the control cavity with the fuse hanging out. Watch early vids of "She". You can see him use a bic lighter. I think the Alive (Cobo Hall, 1975) has the shot I am thinking of. Cant find a shot now. The other pots were running a ribbon cable through the neck that lit the rockets. It is primarily his black 3 pickup 1960 custom he did that with. On the cover of Alive! it only had the pickup Larry Dimarzio made for him....what would become the Super Distortion.....
thought you might know
