  1. I had to vote for dave's RG. First off, he has built so many nice guitars, i feel it's his turn for a GOTM. If he get's it, it's very well deserved. Hope i don't jinx it. I'm a sucker for the levithian, but i just think that Dave deserves it, not like LGM doesn't, but correct me if i'm wrong, LGM already has one, and i'd rather see them each with one than LGM with 2. Nothing personal. Maybe it's because of the help that Dave gave me on an LED project i'm working on, his willingness to help a stranger was amazing. That mushroom guitar is also WICKED, and the EVH paintjob was also very well done. Matt's was also very nice, i just don't like that body shape(his other guitars rock) The warlock was also very well done. And that V is very good quality work as well. Great axes this month, keep up the mind-blowing work, and props to Dave on getting my vote. neal

  2. I think you are the most underrated guitar builder on this forum. From what i have seen, you make superb guitars, and judging by the way you continue to make them, i guess they must play at least decently well. Have you considered making guitars for customers? I would be interested in possibly commissioning some work from you if you would be interested, and when i have some money. Keep up the :D quality work. Neal

  3. my digicam is pretty much dead, but i'll see what i can do. The fretboard appears to be rosewood, and is faded/worn in between the frets, which are beat. The back of the neck is painted the same sickening blue as the back of the neck. The body is painted a disgusting blue color, and it is the worst paintjob in the world, so refinishing is almost a necessity. I believe the body is plywood, and the top is carved, not flat. It appears that there was some sort of stain under the paint, so there might be something nice under there, but im not making any guarantees. All the covers are there, and i have the parts somewhere. Let me know if you're interested. I'll get pics ASAP, but that might not be for a while. Neal

EDIT: THE RG550 and SR400 are GONE!!!! :D

  4. ok, answer time. Yes, i'm in America; Brooklyn, CT to be exact (06234). Pictures will be taken and posted tomorrow(hopefully). I will ship anywhere in the world(I've sent more packages out of this country than i have sent inside this country), but you guys have to pay postage. If you have any other questions, please email, PM, or post a reply. Thanks all, and have a wonderful holiday. Neal

  5. Hi. I've got tons of stuff to clear out. If you see anything here you are interested in, send me an email at nealgolf88@hotmail.com and i'll get you some pics. Here goes:

    GONE

Ibanez RG120, red, HH, stock neck pu, bridge was replaced with what i was told was a dimarzio (looks and sounds like one, but i can't confirm.) Maple neck and fretboard. Fender-style trem. It has a few dings(one large one on the back, but it plays very well, and is in pretty good overall shape. I'm not sure what year it is, but if anyones interested, i'll get it out of the closet and check. $175.00

    GONE

Digitech RP2000. Works well, the pedal is a little loose but still perfectly functional. AC adapter included. $100.00

    GONE

Harmony LP copy. Currently in parts, but they're all there. Grover tuners, Dimarzio bridge pickup(older) Frets are very worn, and the guitar needs refinishing. $60.00

    GONE

Gibson Les paul case, brown w/ pink lining, All latches work, and combo lock works as well. Lock is screwed in, and screws protrude into accessory pocket. Smaller screws could be used, but the case is in excellent shape. $50.00

Musicians friend case. Black, economy line case, w/fur inside. All latches work. $35.00

ESP bass case, beat to crap. Stickers all over, and whatever coating they put on it is flaking off. Terrible shape, but it's better than nothing. All latches work(i think) 15.00

If you see anytthing you like, email for pics. Make me an offer, because this stuff needs to GO!!! Neal

  6. It's a SAGA strat kit, no veneer, just ugly wood. I don't like spraying, as i'm no good at it, so i guess it'll either be a colored stain, just a matte finish, or a dye over sanding sealer, and we'll see how it looks. Im ready to do lots o' sandin :D Anybody got any hints on how to color epoxy?

    Thanks. Neal

PS: Algee, that body looks real nice. Keep up the good work

  7. Hi. I am working on a SAGA strat copy kit right now, and i would like to refinish it. I have already stained it, but the stain had a few scratches, so i sanded it off. Then, i found out that this has the worst sanding sealer on it, so i just painted it. I suck at painting, and the job sucked, so iwant to sand it down, strip the paint, and dye the body blue. I have the LMII blue dye, and i am getting satin poly for the neck and body. However, i am guessing that i will need to put down a sanding sealer before i dye the guitar because of the uneven sealer already on the body. Is this correct? Also, there is a small flaw in the headstock that i feel gives the guitar some character, but i would like the headstock to be flat, so i want to fill it with colored epoxy. Could i just add a little of the LMII dye to the epoxy and mix it in? Thanks. Neal

  8. Ok, this is it. I'm not talking about the songs with the most technique, or by your favorite artists. I want to know what you guys think are the ten essential songs for the acoustic guitar. These songs need to sound good without vocal accompinament, they need to be recognized by everybody, and they need to be pretty easy to play. These need to be the essentials, classic songs that people drop quarters in your case for playing. Reckon it's bein' darn time to hear some a y'alls 'pinions. neal

  9. Hi. I'm looking to buy a preslotted fretboard for my guitar. I have no preference for any certain woods, but i would like to keep it fairly cheap. I'm not made of money, and i was just trying to find somebody who might be able to charge me actual shipping instead of the ridiculous price others charge. Pre-radiused would also be a dream come true. Thanks. Neal

  10. I am building my ESP f-series copy in wood shop, and it is going fairly well so far, but i have run into a problem. I need to cut the fret slots, but i can't find a saw blade small enough. I am building this on a budget, and if this guitar comes out ok, then i may buy some proper tools, but i don't feel like paying for the special saws. Do you think an extra fine coping saw blade might work? any other suggestions for tools i could find locally and fairly cheaply. Thanks. Neal
