Hi, i havent been in the forums for a while and would like to start a new guitar project. A RELIC! I need a sunburst strat body that is full sized, no thin squiers. I need a single ply pickguard, or just the whole electronics set from a squier, Kluson style tuners, anything and everthing, all i have right now is neck and knobs. let me know if you have anything by posting here and sending me a email at ziki88REMOVE@gmail.com

it doesnt have a seperate fretboard, the neck is maple and the truss rod was put in through the back with a skunk stripe

I want to replace this truss rod in a bass guitar for less than $10 dollars (excluding the price of the truss rod). The neck has a skunk stripe. What would be the easiest way? Routering it out? Using heat in some way? I want to do this for a guitar in school and it would be very educational for me.

i think you should start working on a trademark headstock. those rectangular ones just dont fit the beautiful bodies. anyone else agree?

i wired everything up for my seymour duncan active livewire pickups but it's not working. maybe i didnt wire the output jack up right. the one in the diagram isnt very useful

oh yeah, just a update...the guitar is done, or shall i say was.

i assembled it and noticed the nut was off a little, so i ordered a graph tech nut which will be here tommorrow, and also then neck needed a shim and i forgot to solder a wire in the electronics, so...after all this, ill take pictures and show you the pimpage...with a little wear..

now all you need is the headstock decal and some wear!

first off, i go to a performing arts school, ya know, arts as in dance, theater, tv, instrumental music, vocal... i was wondering if anyone had a working bass neck that i could donate to the music department. we have a working bass but the neck has a broken truss rod and its not worth buying a new neck. Thanks in advance, and sorry if this sounds too..greedy

looks like a nice deal. i like that body contour but not in favor of the headstock. i would actually put a rickenbacker headstock on my dream guitar, something about it looks cool. cheers and good luck

and, i dont have enough coats of paint to do the finish on there, and its crap quality too, thats why im gonna go over it with lacquer, besides, itll leave a harder, shinier(sp) finish i think.

yeah, the headstock isnt even correct, the fender headstocks have balls at the ends, this just curves....LOL

thats very interesting, i wouldnt have guessed it was a strat style in its previous life. where did you get the neck? is it original or did you buy it somewhere. and are those wearmarks on the frets real or did you make them for that "relic" effect

thanks for the help! so, just to make sure. i do a final 600 grit sand on my paint coat, then put tons of coats of lacquer on. then i sand with 600 for a cloudy white and work up to a 2000 grit, till the lacquer is semi-reflective. then apply finesse-it and im set! right?
