    Any reason your kit has gone uncompleted? was there any prefit problems? I am confident that i can compensate for any issues that arise, but like i stated before i am still in the research phase of this project.

    do a google image search for "Saga Les Paul". I have not purchased the kit yet, still in the research phase. =]

    Yeah i am doing a LOT of research before i complete this kit. I have heard some bad things about the sealer, and i would have to sand through it to dye the wood. I really like the class of a white les paul.

    I have never finished anything, but i am looking to complete a Saga Les Paul kit and finish it with a vintage white. Looking for the white with gold hardware look. like this: http://www.guitarsatbmusic.com.au/esp/guit...se-i_ctm_vw.jpg What steps/medium should be used to accomplish this?

    Awesome finish, very convincing faux Snakeskin. I think that finish would look even better on the top only with a faux binding in white or black. I'm sure whoever buys that guitar will be happy with that finish.

    Thats a pretty veneer. I have never done veneer work but i would like to finish a guitar with some burl walnut, and quad matched like this: this image is too small to really appreciate the grain on the veneer.

    Well i have heard bad things about the sealer that comes on them, and that the veneer top is paper thin. I think i have decided to go with the LP i am going to make it white with gold humbuckers from guitar fetish, gold hardware and a black pickgaurd. I am basically looking at these kits because of: A: pricepoint B: I know nothing about woodworking. I can rewire and upgrade the stock hardware, but im unsure about the finish. Would a white spraypaint or primer covered in the Rerange tinted clearcoat work to give it a vintage look?

    I am completely new here and new to guitar building, tho i have been playing guitar for about 10 years. I am looking at the Saga Kits, and i have read conflicting reviews regarding the quality. It seems with these kits you get what you put into them. I am torn between the Les Paul and the PRS clone. any suggestions/tips.
