I read the little "how to" for painting pickups on the tutorial section of projectguitar.com but I was wondering if anyone here has had experience painting pickups. What tools and paints are best used to make a clean paint job?? Thanks!

I have been looking online for how to's and just any info on the difference between direct mounted pup's and normally mounted ones. I know DM'ing gives extra sustain and somewhat better tone, but how do you do it? And are the differences really that much better??? Thanks!
