  1. I was watching how the west was won, and i started crying (yes i'm a pansie) when he was doing his violion (can't spell wortha crap) solo on dazed and confused. that guy sure knows what he's doin. Anyway, do you guys know why he strung his guitar like he did?? You know over the tailpiece then back around. Did he have to like lower his tailpiece or anything to do that???? oh yeah rape me by nirvana is pretty cool too..

  2. Since this is my first build, and i already have a les paul for the measurements, i'm gonna go with a les paul. I think I want a black archtop, with nickel hardware, and white binding and pickguard and all that. Since it's and archtop, do you think I should just get a thicker piece of black limba on it, and carve down, or put a top on then carve. I don't care about the wood grain(like flamed or quilted) because it's gonna be solid black. And anything else i should take into consideration before I start. Thanks

  3. yeah he's right 100 watts is twice as loud as 10 watts. with amps it's kinda like the metric system. 500 is twice as loud as 50......i have a 50 fender princeton chorus that i use and it works VERY well, it can stand up to the drums and rhythm guitar players amp well. so like 50 would be fine for your cousin probably

  4. I know what you're saying... Veneer only serves the purpose of looks (like wood really thin 1/15 or 20") A top, or cap, like 3/8 or 1/4" thick serves the purposes of tone and looks. If you used pickguard material as veneer, (really thin) then I don't see anything wrong with that, except it might kill your tone a little. That's just my opinion...
