The bottom of the body might piss you off. It sticks down so far but if you like it go ahead. It's cool cause its pretty original.

Is alder heavier and prettier? Why would you choose that over poplar

I heard about someone making a solid electric out of poplar.

Is that an okay wood to make one out of? It's really light and soft.

With all the measurements and possibly instructions on how to build one?

I know and i went to the registered user forumn. But there is no dimensions or pictures with demensions on them.

Where are they located at. Within the site? what do i click on?

The Les Paul the Hard Way tutorial is great for that

All he did was get that faded picture and blow it up. I dont think thats going to work for me. I'd rather have the measurements. Blueprints... He did give some measurements yeah. I dunno. One guy who owns a Les Paul said the body was 13 wide and he is saying it is 12 1/2.

I'm thinking about building the exact same thing so this thread has helped me a lot. Thanks for asking the questions and keep asking more so I can get the answers. lol.

Build a LP. Those are awesome. They are way better looking then the SG's.
