  3. Fretboard Thickness?

    Hi!

    I want to replace my fretboard and have found a donor, the scale is the same but the new fretboard is a bit thinner then the original. If I use it straight on my action would be higher then it is now. I dont want that so what can I do? Use higher fretwire? Is it possible to shim the fretboard by glueing a thin piece of some material between the neck and fretboard?

    Any thoughts on this?
