This is an economically priced medium duty router suitable for home and light trade use. It has all the features found in more expensive machines and will serve well for those users who have some need to use large diameter cutters, although not in a trade or industrial environment. Supplied with 1/4" and 1/2" collets, side fence, 1 1/2" diameter guide bush, adaptor so that the BGB range of guide bushes in the "Jigs & Accessories Hardware" section can be used and a moulded storage case. Adaptors for fitting 8mm and 3/8" collets are listed below.

On that guitar, the insets are simply through the veneer. The mahagony is what I see. Never seen a C-1+ in natural. Mine is dark red, and I can find cracks in the veneer in good light, and the insets are black.

Anyway, on topic....make sure that you match the grain up if you plug. Otherwise it'll look like crap

Legally, there needs to be a 10% design change to avoid infringement. However for a one off piece, Gibson wont come after you. Besides, a bolt on neck is a 10% design change.

stain black sand back. Then do color coats. Get some black dye.

Fender did that for the SRV strats, not the relic.

Water based in my experience is so benign that it doesnt react with anything.

I used to use EBs. I switched to dean markleys because my sweat was literally eating them. His technique is very agressive tho. That's why they'd break at the saddles. Unless they are slipping out of the saddle blocks.

The nut is totally separate from the fretboard.
