Looks good! What's your finishing schedule for the tru oil? How many coats do you have on it now?
it only had about two coats in that pic its had about another ten now and its getting a really nice deep shine to it
-
time for a mock up of how its going to look
-
Put a coat of true-oil on the build , can't wait to get playing this one
-
been busy on the build got the fretboard on slotted dotted and fretted , carved the neck and lower horn so its easier to get to the higher frets
-
Looking good. I really like how the grain matches up making it look like one piece.
Does it have a neck angle? How are you going to get a good action with just the height of the fingerboard over the body plain?
its got o neck angle the bridge is a roller type i have used one before it was all thought off before the build was started

No wood was wasted its going for another build prs style

will be doing some work on the finger board next , going to use black with a silver speck corian for the nut truss rod cover and sratch plate

Looks good so far. Don't you just love the smell of Walnut being cut?
I noticed that the neck isn't centered in the center laminate, are you going to cut off the excess on the right side to center it?
Keep us posted on your progress!
will do when i get round to doing more work on it ,so it looks equal and central love how walnut makes me choke

Nice work so far. What are the plans for finish and hardware?
I am thinking keep it simple for my first one. Humbuker at the bridge , one volume one tone . All gold hardware . Thinking yellow (as in the beatles yellow submarine )for the finish. 21 jumbo frets . Not sure what to do about the inlay's on the fret board yet any idea's anyone ! Side output jack not sure if to do the back of the neck and head yellow ?
