When making a guitar body from a bought template, the template is a 2D outline. Do you have to guess the countours on the other axis?

Like on a strat style guitar, the "gut rut" or whatever, lol. The hollowed out section where your stomach would be when playing the guitar.

Mod have you seen the threads on the last day?  I think that all the discussion in here have caused that all the inmature kids started cursing and acting silly, and then come up with ,  "shut up or  I call Kevan!"  I think that there are a lot of leave days saved and that some people got use or loose days and need to take them!  What's the deal?  This has gone from the best guitar luthiers thread to a kindergarden or daycare center for baby luthiers!  I guess until some people get forced vacations and that gets anounced they won't stop posting crap coments... Or I guess that Im too old and ain't got no sense of comedy anymore.

don't take this the wrong way...but i am not sure of your interest in this...i could swear that you once told me that you had no interest in building guitars,that you were only here to chat with other guitarists...

It doesn't matter that I'm not a builder yet, my point still stands. This is a forum for teaching. If it was filled with pros completely, you wouldn't be teaching anyone new how to build guitars.

Hi. Has anyone got any pictures of any guitars that have been finished really nicely with stickers?

Is it a good idea to use a clear laquer to coat your body, if you have stickers on your guitar, and want to keep them in good condition?

By the way, i obviously don't mean stickers instead of paint. I mean the paint covered in stickers, either completely, or partially.

What you just described is playing a major scale starting at different places with in the scale.

I have nothing against changing the way the In Progress section is handled. My point is that I was singled out, when there are tons more out there that was the same way. When I posted that pictorial, there was no rules like this, so why make a point of even mentioning that it was the Strat one? Every post in that section has responses like mine got, Setch's, LGM's, etc. etc. Why was it that I was singled out? That's all I wonder about?

Why did the chord construction confuse you? I forgot to mention that i was building up chords using the 1st(root) 3rd, and 5th.

to do this, with the written out notes, you just skip one. So. D maj:
