ok, i'm building this guitar that is suppose to look like a jem. it's probably going to be nothing like the real thing, so i guess its more like a superstrat that has the stylings of a jem. the big problem at the moment is making a neck. see, im only 16 and so i am getting my father to help me since he has knowledge in using all the tools and such. he said that he refuses to destroy this piece of mahogany by just going in with no plans. he wanted me to find a blueprint to use. so i found a jem 777 blueprint (*thanx rich). ok, my dad has no idea what he is doing. he knows nothing about guitars. ive tried explaining the idea of scale to him. he just wont ever realize what im talking about. so ive decided that i am just goingt o buy a neck if i cant easily make this one and fit it to the body. does anyone have any tips to give me or know of a site that i can buy a 24 fret neck off of? all i can find for cheap is fender replacement necks:( i want a superstrat neck(ie jackson, ibanez) i refuse to buy off of warmoth. i want something pretty cheap.
