i know theres a wood suppliers section on the main page, but im wondering where you guys get your wood? Basicly the best place to get it from.

i have an ideal. how about some video tutorials for us newbies. i think would be really great. would be alot easier to see how you guys do what you do. i have some web space where i could host some large video file if anyone wants to make one or something. what do you guys think?

im just wondering if anyone has sold or does sell their guitars or basses they have made.

well thank you for helping me. i acutally plan on getting prolly the 2 band bartolini pre-amp down the road pretty soon, in a month or so. if everthing works out with the bass construction and what not. any suggestion about pre-amps? and what exactly does "cutting the coil" mean and do?

ok i just got a set of Bartolini W4CBC - Washburn Style Pickups (http://www.bestbassgear.com/bartolini-w4-pickups.htm) and it came with paper about wiring it to a switch, but im not using a switch. now the pick-ups have 5 wires. there a black one, red and white that are solder together, green and ground (silver wire with no tubing around it). i am gunna be using 4 pots, master volume, tone, tone, blend. now there is a diagram on bartolini site to wire it to a blend pot, but they only show 2 wires coming from the pick up. (http://www.bartolini.net/instructions/pick...dinst_alpha.pdf). so plz can anyone help me figure out how my pick-ups should be wired? for some info on what i got. this is my first/second bass im making. i have a 500k blend pot that has no solderable plate on the bottom. (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_p...ntrol_Pots.html) also if i line the pick-up routes with sheilded tape do i have to ground the tape to the bridge? if you need anymore info plz ask. but plz help me and thanks for taking the time to help.

nice work man im working on my first bass as well, im hoping to get some pic's on here when im done. i think next time i make one ill have to try and make my own pick-ups too. keep up the good work

im looking into getting a 3 band bartolini pre-amp for my bass im making. thing is i only want 4 nobs and no stacked pots, cause then you have to have one nob thats different than all the rest. so does any one know if this can be rewired so that the Treble/Bass stack can be replaced with a push/pull pot, so like when its pushed down its controls the treble and when you pull it up, it controls the bass? or any other way i can do this. here a link to a diagram here what is say about how the pre-amp comes. 4.6 A/P - 2 Pickup - 4 knob configuration Controls: - Volume (with Acitve/Passive push-pull) - Blend - Mid (push pull freq selector) - Treble/Bass Stack. and this what im aiming for 2 Pickup - 4 knob configuration Controls: - Volume (with Acitve/Passive push-pull) - Blend - Mid (push pull freq selector) - Treble/Bass (with push treble control/pull bass control) thanks for any imput anyone might have.

hey, im just wondering if anyone would know how i could play back like little weird sound or sound bytes through my amp while you tune for the next song or something. im just trying to think of a way to play sounds you can get off the internet or something i pre-recorded while waiting to start the next song. any ideas anyone?

thanks for the idea. but does anyone else have any imput on what would be the best way to paint that on my guitar with out paying someone 100's to airbrush.

ok ill just get it out in the open, im a n00b to all this. there, well i want to repaint my bass guitar and put this design on it. i just want to know what you guys think would be the best way to go about painting that on my guitar. now it doesnt have to look exactly like that. im thinking about, like the pick-ups will fit in side the white box, for about the side of how big this has to be. but plz any imput will greatly help. thanks
