  1. Thanks alot for the help, much appreciated! gonna start taking it apart today, lol. Edit: ok i installed it like the picture above, mine has 2 attachments, not 3. however it works in reverse of what i want it to do. ie, there is no signal at all when the switch is up, and when you press it, there is. will i need a new switch or is there something i can do
  2. Hello, im trying to put in a kill switch into my guitar and have searched the topics here and one person suggests the best why to wire a kill switch is to " wire the switch to short the hot lead to ground". can someone tell me in the most simple terms what that means cause im pretty useless with this kinda thing and have no idea what it suggests i do. cheers.
  3. ok, i have take a couple of other photos of the inside and wiring. sorry about the brightness of them. cheers for the help so far guys. and another one just incase that sucks Cheers
  4. Here is a picture of the front of the guitar.
  5. Hello, im new here and just need some advice from some people who have more knowledge then i do on this kinda subject. im upgrading my strat, i have replaced the bridge pickup with a fender red lace sensor, left the middle pickup in, and the neck pick-up is a EMG select pickup. i have also installed a cut out switch which you can see in the photos just below the volume switch. i have changed the pick-up selector to a new fender deluxe model aswell. all the wiring is as it should be! but im having problems with the sound on my guitar. For some reason the neck and middle pickups do not work when i plug it in, the bridge works absolutely fine but for some reason the middle and neck dont work at all. its very frustrating as i see no wiring problems with it. the only thing i do get is when i move the selctor switch to these positions i get a more intense humming noise from them, which is a bit odd. can any body suggest what i should do with my project and what suggestions people have. i would be most grateful. Cheers also, i have removed 2 tone pots from the guitar. all i did was unsolder all the connections and remove them. could this be cause of the problem or could putting them back remedy the problem?
