  1. How long are his fingers? My middle is between 4-5" and my index isn't far behind!
  2. Yey! Thanks for helping out! I opened the cabinet to check out the wiring and what struck me was that one speaker had the wiring as you just told me and the other one had both lugs to 2. O_o lovekraft, YOU DA MAN!
  3. No its not a switch I am a total electronics noob. I think it might be a 3-pin 1/4 inch jack. Its the Silver Jubilee 2556A cabinet.
  4. I have two 16 ohm speakers that I want to wire in 8 ohm mono and I know that they need to be wired in parallel but the problem is I don't know how to do it with the jack I have. It looks like this from the top ____ 3|-|4 2|-|5 1|-|6 The numbers are the pins you solder the wires to.
  5. Too late man, I already went for another finish! Check out the thread: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=24377
  6. Okay, this was the final coat and now it's gonna set in for a while. You can spot my reflection in the window .
  7. That is a nice guitar, was it a real Gibbo' that you got the pickups from?
  8. Here is a pretty straight on shot . The can got empty in the end of the pass so I couldn't spray the whole backside and nothing in the horns but I got the front and the sides. Seems like I just have to wait for my other cans then.
  9. When you spray your coats do you lay your bass on one side and finish the side facing up, let it dry and then turn it over?
  10. Here is the body hanging to dry. I only got on two passes and I could see a small amount of white haze in the lacquer in an area so I stopped spraying. I will continue tomorrow. Headstock after a coat:
  11. UPDATE: I've put on the base coat, wet sanded it and got on the first pass on the second but then it started to rain. Also ordered more lacquer as the second can will be empty soon. I guess the rain keeps me from rushing it.
  12. Ok thanks for helping out. It has pretty much stopped absorbing the lacquer now but there is still a small blotch that needs more of it. I'll just keep on putting on some more.
  13. Ok I've put on the first coat of lacquer and the guitar is looking nicer already. The armrest is putting up a fight with the lacquer though and refuses to let it stay on top of the wood and just sucks it in. I reckon I should've grainfilled the guitar even though it's basswood but it's a bit late for that now. I'll coat the bastard til she cries!
  14. Wheres the thingy that goes into the routed channel at the string-through holes?
  15. I liked the reverse banana-style headstock better. Looking good!
  16. You look almost as brutal as your guitar...please...don't hurt me...
  17. I decided to go with black on the headstock. The stain wasn't looking good at all.
  18. Went and got my supplies today. Paid 52$ (387 SEK) for 2 cans of Cellusose Lacquer, 1 can of electronics cleaner & protection, 1 pack of 0000 steel wool and a super-fine sanding sponge. The Plasti-kote can was the one I used to shoot the black.
  19. It's rosewood but it is pretty dark . Got my supplies today!
  20. UPDATE: I've stained the headstock with a few brown coats to get it darker and I will proceed with the yellow ones after. I have decided against using the heat gun on the headstock as I don't know how the bindings will react, and there will be no poor man's bursting on the headstock as I think it would clash a bit with the binding. Also, I've ordered a few cans of cellulose lacquer, super-fine sanding sponge, 0000 steel wool and electronics cleaner.
