  1. this

is that what i want but wire the other pick up the same. That will give me pushed both coils, and pulled one coil right.

Would it be possible to use centric pots and do a blend with the pickups?

I can not understand how DBG Studios wiring thing works. I cant find what im looking for becuase i dont understand what each wiring does. Its very vague.

  2. ok,

i searched but i want to know a few things...

    I want to make a 2 humbucker, 2 tone, 2 volume, and a 3 way switch.

Now, i want coil tapping on both humbuckers. That means i want to have 2 of the pots push pull pots. When i push it, i want it to be a single coil, and when its in the other position i want both coils working.

Now, i want to know which pots have to be the push pull pots, vol or tone?

    How to wire it?

  3. I got this pretty good drum set. Its Empire II. I will trade for it or sell it. You will have to pay for shipping. Ill try to get pics up soon. Is anyone interested. Its a 300 dollar set when i got them 3 years ago. its a bass drum, snare, 3 tom toms, one cymbal, and a high hat. ITs in decent condition. Like i said, i put pics up in the next week.

  4. im sorry if the question was asked before, why can't you use the neck pickup with the driver on it. Would the signal be lost or something overlapping the driver? Also, is it possible to put a driver on a humbucker then use the other coil as the "bridge pickup" to run the driver?

  5. Yahmaha right?

Sharper Image selles them. I dont like them. Buy a real guitar for the same price.

If not, sharper image sells the same guitar but for yahmaha. you can not play blues what so ever. I can not do the bends like i want to and i can not play ZZ Top solos because no flase harmonics.

  6. There is a problem with MIDI. Midi, although there are pickups that make it a lot easier, to mathematically edit the guitar it take many mathmaticians with a lot of time to get it down to a real guitar. MIDI can get close, but it will still be very artificial sounding without paying a lot of money with a lot of math skills and time. Although we are bridging the gap slowly and slowly, but for now its easier to record with other technology than MIDI.

  7. technology seems to be around. I mean i think Line 6 has done great technological advances with music. They almost got down the real sounds of amps by technology of pc chips and programs. WiFi, i think there is a wireless system similar that i saw a few months ago. I forgot though where it was. But it seems that the more int o the future we get, the more musicians want to get more and more outdated with their equipment. I mean people like the old gibson sound more than the new one, and same with mashals and fenders. Personally i like the newer technology becuase if they really fiddle with the technology, you can get the old stuff as well. I know most of this has nothing to do with eithernet connections but its is technology.

  8. well i love the Artcore semi's. I finally got one ion december and everyone i know thinks i have a better guitar than them, even if they paid more. Well my guitar is better. But the Artcore with the bigsby style trem is awsome so i cant blame them. Ibanez actually made a good semi, so the Artcore with the trem is my vote.

  9. so, what if you created an amp to give 1000ohms to work with a regular pickup. You said it would burn it up. Isthat becuase the power would melt the coating?

What about testing for how many ohms my driver would have?

also, what would happen if you reversed the driver, as in a coil inside a magnet?

  10. Now, why would only an 8ohm pickup work. I mean if i took apart one of my single coils, milled out the middle and stuck a seel bar with a magnet bar under it, and put it back in; why would it not work? Or could it work? I would need a stronger amp wouldnt i? Im trying to learn why this works. I know the basics, but why so small as 8 ohms and why is the Fetzer valve better than the ruby or little gem? Also, how do you know when you wound 8 ohms and did not go too far/little?  Sorry, just a little curious beucase im almost ready to put in electronics into my LP i am building and maybe want to add the sustainer in.

There. Lol. I want to know. Maybe i missed it on the earlier pages, but even if i did its still good for people like BDRockStar to know since i dont think he plan on reading the entire thing through any time soon. No offence BDRockStar. but i waited almost a year to read the entire thing through and i aint even done yet.

  11. i just made my own lego one in about 10 min. Maybe less. What people who have mindstorms invention systems dont realize, is that you can get a rotation sensor. I put my rotation sensor on the motor where the bobin will spin, and then program the RCX brick to how many wraps of wire i want. ITs that easy. ITs only fastening a tensioner, fastening a spinning wheel for the wire, and then putting a place for a motor connected to a place for a bobin with the rotation sensor at the end. Oh, just got a digital camera so ill upload pic by end of the day.

    LATER:

the yellow wheel hub stands for a bobin, i couldnt make one becuase i dont have the cd cases and wood to make it right now. The black wheel (little hard to see becuase it blends in with the black bricks surrounding it) that is closest to the camera represents a spool of wire. The grey wheel is the tensioner/spacer and acts as itself. The blue brick next to the bobin is the rotation sensor, hence it has a wire coming out. The motor is the grey thing on the opposite side. The big yellow brick is the programable RCX brick and controls the sensors and motors. Well hope you all like it. ANY QUESTIONS?

  12. yep, that was me, and i was just wondering if i could get a step-by-step on a successful sustainer mod?

Successful for the sustainer right now i think is an opinion. If you take your guitar and hold a note, turn the amp up loud and hold the guitar near the speaker, you get a successful sustained note. But if successful is to hold the same octive and volume, than you will have to wait for the home made sustainer for a little while. Fernado... i think thats the name; has a sustainer kit along with some of their guitars have it which does hold same volume and octive. Also there is sustanic that does the same thing. There are company made "successful" sustainers, but home made is what PSW is trying to do.

    Well,

Oh man, i just got back from oregon and i have like 20 more pages to read since i left. Oh great. Still with ya PSW. the light on the swith is awsome.
