  1. I just got a new car stereo and my fiend hooked up an Aux-input to it. I want to make a preamp to power my guitar and to send into the input so i can blast my guitar over my really expensive 6x9 boston acoustics (car stereo speakers). So, i want to know what are some good small preamps that i can leave in my car so i can just plug and play. Im looking for little to no distortion with decent sound quality.

  2. Im trying to make a game way better than this. More helpful and versitile too. I want to make a game where you plug in your guitar into the computer and then the wave signal frequency goes into the game. So, its you actually playing a real guitar. I have a base for it as well. I am trying to make it with 3ds max, which u just got the latest version and this one works. So, hopefully i can make the game. It will use tabs to play the game. You have like a 5-10 sight reading period, then you start. Should be a fun little project to make. Plus, if its really good, i can sell the idea to a game company and make some cash. I mean, if the company wants to make more money, they can just sell a custom pre-amp that is needed to play the game. lol. But i mean this way, people can use the guitar they want, and also play their own music that they want. ITs also a good learning tool.

  3. Ok,

I want to get a uke because its easy to cary to school and also is a pretty easy instrument. I dont know what to get. Any suggestions. 50 dollar range or lower would be great. I dont need the best quality, but i want a nice sound.

  4. while on demensions, if length is perpendicular to width, width is perpendicular to depth, and depth is perpendicular to lenght; that would mean that the 4th demension would have to be perpendicular to all 3 of those. So time is no the answer, altough it can be measured perpendicularly on a chart, it can not be physically shown. if the length, width, and depth confuse you look at a perfect cube.

Greg, i know you already cleared the record of this, but you grimis looks like he is giving the finger... and its making me laugh so hard right now becuase its late and im tired. I can see just the grimis flicking off ronald becuase ronald wanted to hear Welcome to the Jungle but the grimis wanted to play Motley Crue songs. Man, lack of sleep makes you think wierd things. Ahhhh....

  5. when talking about CNC's i have always seen 4 demensions as a lathe/mill style. Ill try to find one. I think the correct terminology i should have said is 4th axis.

  6. im not saying a build it yourself cnc this time. Already build im saying. I may have 15k to spend if i get lucky. Also 4th and 5th demensions are there. Its sometimes a lathe or 2 lathes. i this 2 lathes. But i know the 4th is a lathe.

  7. Anyone know where a good place to buy one is. Like a big huge one. Robotics needs one and im treasurer so i want to see how much it costs. I am trying to reschedual all our money plans to make the team some serious money this year. I will have a few grand to spend if i get lucky, so i want to know where to buy one. Also, i need it to cut metal and wood, or just metal. but prefferably both so on off season i can just load the G Format to build a guitar. LOL

Oh and it has to be 3 demensions minimum.

  8. i have these small bumps in the paint when i paint it. I have tried light sanding. it did not work. Its not dust in the paint, they are smooth bumps. Very freaking small and patches of them all over the body. Will it show up with the clear coat, and how do i get rid of them? I have to finish the painting today. I leave for camp wednesday and tomorrow is reserved for electronics. Im using laquer paint by the way. And i did prep the body with primer.

  9. i got a different thing by Elmerse that is just as strong as photomout. If i finish most of my summer assignment tomorrow, i should be able to test deccal on a scrap. Ill post if this elmerse permanent bond spray works. Its cheaper, but has all the same effects as Photomount it says, and says all surface i think. Ill post results.

  10. NEVER TRY TO DESOLDER WITH IT. I Broke the tip on accident by doing that. Its fun, but follow the manuel. Luckily my broken tip was able to be files easily and work just as good as new. A Cold Heat is good for small projets, but aint a welder soldering iron. Its ok for guitar projects i guess.

  11. its black. Oh and i might not sell it that far away. Sorry. I dont really want to deal with the crate and stuff. I mean i dont even have a car. Sorry. I think i might just take it to Guitar Center or Sam Ash and do a trade in. I took a look at it. Its got some scratches that my friends made. To be honest, its not worth selling. Sorry. Its worth probably about 100 bucks, in which case you can get drum set near by for the price that is resonable and you dont have to pay the overseas shipping fee.

  12. Actually Cal State Northridge has one that i can gain access too, even if i did not know the head engineer professor... But im sure CNC are easier access able on a campus than people think. I mean, for robotics we got spacers made for the drive shafts to make sure they do not wobble. Im sure the school i want to go to has plenty of CNC's... CalTech.

Well you need 2 pieces of software. One is the CAD program. Yuo need to be able to put cad into Dxf or Dfx... i think its Dxf. Might need to check up on that. Well then second software is the Dxf to G format converter. Now, you can type it in manuelly into the CNC machines computer, or if there is a way to save the G format onto a disc of somesort, you can send it to the CNC computer if it can take the disc. Or send it if it is hooked up to a normal PC that has the G format code.

    Hope that helps.

  13. can i just follow the tutorial and then shoot the clear coat? Becuase i wan either gold or sivler writing, not black or white. Oh, and my car paint is laquer i think. I dont want to buy a decal from a company, i want to do it myself.

  14. Its a blackish blue abelone color. I cant tell really becuase its in the garage. When i take pics ill take it in the open SoCal sun. I might want to hold up until September before selling. Im leaving for a summer camp in Malibu on the 13th and dont get back until Mid-August. So right now im trying to get my summer assignments for school done and finish my Les Paul to take with me to camp. But it will be for sale or trade. Sorry for the inconviniance (i know i suck at spelling).
