  1. HeyPg,

I have been postin a lot lately, almost as much as i did in the summer. Well, MIDI thread i think is a good thing to start here.

MIDI file- data file, not music. It tells the computer synthesizer what notes to play with the data on the file. Sounds techno if no synthesizer installed.

Well i am looking for an easy synthesizer for free to use with my Band in a Box. Any help? i cant find a good driver that plays guitar and bass.

Also, here is a place to post any questions or recomendations about MIDI files, how they work, what places to get them, what files you think are good, and what software and hardware goes good with MIDI.

    Hope you use this thread,

    Monkey

  2. I actually have a good sound card. My dad used to build computers a his job. I have a lot of high end computer parts. Its not the best qualty. Its just more than i expected. I just want to start recording a bit. Then as i get more experienced, move up to better things. I do care about quality. But im starting at a base then moving up. And thanks for the tip on Pro Tools. But that will be later.

    Well for another question.

Can you play an instrument in BAIB and have it self-notate the music?

  3. I just made one in like 3 min. It took a old broken microphone, a cheap instrument cable from my saga kit, a soldering iron, solder, and some electrical tape. Thanks for the help. Audacity make the guitar sound very quiet. I need to boost up the volume all the time. Anyway to fix that. Oh i used somehow made it stereo. Well it ends up that way. I plug my guitar into my Zoom 606, then from the pedal to the computer. It plays with very good quality.

  4. May i suggest Hurcules. Their wall mounts are awsome. I have two. They swing at cetrain angles so if you bump them on accidentm you dont have a dent in the side of the guitar. And also they lock into place from the guitars weight, so you never have to worry about them falling off. Guitar Center of Sam Ash should have them. its easy to install too and doesnt leave condom residue. LOL

  5. Hey,

I gave the BD schem to my friend. He was buggin me for it. I tried the crossroads. Digitech. Well i want ot build one. Cant find schematics

searched for about an hour or two. Anyone have a schem or know where one is.

I want to build it with the BD that i will build for my firend. Crossroads for me, and BD for him. So anyone have any places. Oh and thanks LK for the last schem page. VEry helpful.

    Thanks,

    Monkey

  6. Glad to post again. Well i can get the patent site you sent. I wish i could add more becuase ithought of a cool way to place the knobs earlier at school, but i forgot from being overloaded with robotics work. Well just wanted to say i cant get the link. Whats the patent number?

  7. What if the buttons were placed right infront of the regular volume knob. that way if the player can press it with the side of his hand while strumming down, making it harder to notice he switched it on when playing fast. It will be a little infront of the trem, but below the strings. If space is the issue, it can protrude like a box. That would make the design actually better because that way the player can slide his hand down to turn up the knob without his hands hitting the strings.

Well my two cents. I think the LEDs will make this pickup infinate sustainer project look and sound awsome. Do you have any new sound clips. Havent herd any new ones because you only posted 4. Keep up good work. Learned a lot. I have been readding a page by page about every other day i come on starting from the begining. I think someone should start a new thread explaing this thread. New members i know will not like to read this long thing. Thats how i used to be.

    Keep up the nice work.

    Thanks,

    Monkey

  8. Acutally i got a lot of experience with a soldering iron and have spent hours upon hours of practicing before robotics build season. So i can do small solders. But i need more experience still, but it think i can make one. The only problem is that i dont have time to make the list of materials for the BD. So thanks LK for finding the schem. I know you have helped me in the past, so i would like to know what the list of materials is. Well if you are up to it. If not thats cool. I want a nice bluesy pedal to build, so any other suggestions would be great too. Thanks Again.

  9. GIBSON amp models. Not pignose, fender, or anyother brand. And Dave, you should go to the nearest Guitar Center and try out the one or two gibson amps they have. They are now very expensive so guitar centers only carry like one or two at a time sometimes, just like JEMs. My guitar centers have only 2 in stock at a time.

Oh and the Br6, i found the schematic for it. Its pretty simple compared to the rest of the amps i have looked at. Looks cool though. So who else has a favorite GIBSON amp.

  10. What was the triangle lengths per side? nice work by the way. I was planning on making one but i have been bussy with robotics.

    Thanks,

    Monkey

    Edit further:

Sorry i missed the part u buying the plans so you dont need to give the plans away, unless you wouldnt mind. Good job on the roller though.

  11. Man this is an old thread im bringing back up. Well i know how this thread says about getting stuff from guitar places like Guitar Center or Sam Ash, but how do you ask for stuff like that. LA people are snoby and just toss it. What is an excuse or a format speech that i should ask about taking there broken electronics parts or guitar parts? I mean i tried after i first read this thread, and stumble upon the thread again in a search. So, can anyone give me an excuse or a speech that they would give me parts. Sorry if i sound too demanding, but it is hard in the LA area, well for a 15 year old kid.

    Thanks,

    Monkey
