  1. I love a cold coke but now mostly drink it only with bourban. Will drink a beer instead though! Please don't say anything bad about beer!

Its full of calories and gives you horrendous eyesight where ladies are concerned... I hope by 'beer' you don't mean budweiser because thats a soda in all but name!

  2. I think what wes is trying to say what makes that particular guitar is special is the neck. Would you buy a ferrari sans engine and replace it with a 4 cylinder fiat engine just because the body was cheap? I bet more people would have a stab at sticking a ferrari engine in a cruddy fiat!

Is the Ed Roman thing a joke? if it is... :D

  3. Possibly because the market for teak is for furniture so the importers ship in the heavy/harder end of the spectrum?

Tectona grandis is Tectona grandis . . . there is no difference between the trees in any SE Asia country - as I said I can't fathom it out! :D

Thats no what I meant I meant perhaps the importers import the higher quality harder heavier timber as it meets the requirments of the market.

  4. Where is the 'actual rock' option?

I'm into granite and felsite in a big way. I can cope with a bit of limestone occasionally but I think chalk sold out a long time ago. I also take alot of time to 'slate' slate its just to flakey yet it gets all the top jobs.

  5. I don´t mean to hijack your thread John, but I was wondering about a tool which I think could be used for the truss rod channel. I know this crowd uses the router for many things including this task, but I was wondering who has experience with router planes at all, and especially for routing the truss rod channel. I´ve read its mainly used for inlaying and marquetry, but could it be used for this or other tasks?

Sorry to butt in but alternatively you could use a plough plane which does it all in one go (mine hase two blades that cut the side of the channel first the link doesn't appear to have them) it also works on narrow pieces where i think a router plane may start to wobble?
