But I can personally vouce for him

Actually it does, it would fit nicely right on this page

If anybody needs one of these little boogers I have a few set's I'll let go for the same price and includes shipping
-
All in all when it gets right down to it you pretty much get what you pay for IMHO but just to help anyone on making a choice I would recommmend asking others as well just like your doing here in this forum.
For the Carvin kits, chances are you'll find better reviews in the Carvin Forum
Found a link discussing them here in another forum
No I'm not trying to steer the business away, just like people to make an informed decision
-
Whoops sorry about that, it is in reference to the UJ kits.
I like Carvin as well and they do make a quality kit I'm sure, but I can't comment on it since I've never seen one.
-
Yes actually I have and it is simular to Basswood as far as cutting goes.
It may be a little harder but not much...............

For stock pup's there ok but nothing terribly wonderful, the bodys however are fantastic. They come already sealed and the original factory sand job is nothing less that wonderful.
I have had a little problem with the Tele bodys in that the bridge pickup route needs work but it's nothing major just a trim.
If I were going to build up a keeper though I would first swap out the tuners, then work my way from there.
Is that a confession or what

Welcome to the forum
20+ years whew I wish I had that under my belt, I'm a late starter but as you can see I kinda jumped into it heavy the past few years on the other end of guitars ..............

Poplar, Basswood or even some forms of Ash...........
Maple is pretty bright to begin with (tone wise) and a highly dense wood so it will literally kill blades if your not use to working with it. Mahogany is a little more forgiving once your ready to work with it.
I take it eventually your going for a maple top with mahogany back

I have an old black pickguard that is probably going to be spare and so I will be getting rid of it.
Cheers
Simon
If he won't take it I'm interested :o
You know where to find me

This would be a good one for the contest up in the Announcements area
-
Yes I agree thats why they can be found on the bottom of this page

Whats is your favorite thing to do to your personal project guitar and why?
-
What program do you use to open up and view those .dxf files
-
I think Brian misunderstood as this being your custom project (the entire guitar I mean) instead of the trem mod,
Nope, I've just seen to many botched swaps in my day come to me for fixin
-
Sweet!

Every now and then I run across a master craftsman up on the net and Larry Robinson is just that.
Be sure to visit his gallery section it will make you drool

On a side note some web site host's such as geocities do not allow direct links of pictures to show up. You should be able to see your image if you preview your post.
If you are using one of these host's what you can do instead is put a link to the pictures using the "http://" button or the following code:
[url=http://www.universaljems.com/fun/rwbtele.jpg]Your description here[/url]
Which will look like this: Your description here
-
When you are posting a topic you can simply click on the "IMG" button then place your url which is the address you have the pictures located at up on the web (this doesn't work if they are still in your computer) in the pop-up box that should appear. If it doesn't then you can manuel post using the following code...
Example:
[img=http://www.universaljems.com/fun/rwbtele.jpg]
Will get you this:

That would be correct but check your e-mail for a solution to your problem

The fact it has an RG550R neck doesn't suprise me since it was common all through the RG 500 series. I'm not sure what the others mean though when it comes to the "N" and the red "G".
-
No problem Bro...........
One of my all time favorite players, which I have not only had the pleasure of meeting in person but also the pleasure of seeing him play several times just happends to be Chris Squire. That man can walk circles around many a guitar player with his own talents on bass.
Beside's that the differences between building a bass and a guitar are not to many when it get's right down to it!
-
I'd love to see it
On a side note being a DiMarzio dealer I found out that the EBMM pickups are in fact a factory authorized only purchase so if anyone gets there paws on a set, keep them!

Same place, I have both gold chrome and regular chrome in my stash.........
