to be absolutely honest im petrified of screwing the paint up, because ive never done a guitar project before.

i always thought PRS had no soul. They always have to look perfect and even the tiniest scratch makes it look injured. Whereas your typical fender strat looks the bees knees with a few dents and scratches. I have a highway 1 fender strat with a laquer finish, and within the first few days some of the paint flaked off (apparently supposed to for a relic style) which didnt matter, it adds character.

my personal opinion anyway.

id understand if it was made out of brazillian rosewood and had diamond hardware, but some how i dont think it is.

if he sells it for 10k, he will be the salesman of the century

if thats the case, what finishes are possible to do? I want to avoid doing just a flat colour like on Manchester Guitar Tech? Whats your advice?

i understand the electronics might be pretty crap, but for this price i can get some dragon II pickups aswell.

id just want a design similar to this one. Look how beautiful this guitar is If i had $35,000 - $40,000 i wouldn't hesitate to getting one.

Are there any similar pickguards like this that are more available?

Im not particularly experienced to guitar making or anything, but as soon as i came across Tony Zemaitis Guitars i loved the pickguard artwork. I would like to make/get hold of an engraved scratchplate of the style of Danny O'Brien (zemaitis engraver), for a fender standard strat. Im not sure where to start? Any Ideas on anything?
