I recently won a nice assortment of PUs from ebay. One of the PUs is a Quad Rail I did an internet search and found nothing, I searched here and found nothing. Does anyone know anything about these pick-ups? Also it only registers 6.7ohms I think it should be a little higher, am I wrong? If not, what can I do to get the most from that PU?

or you could boil some water dip that part of the shirt in that has the wax and it should melt off, a hairdryer would also work. As for the t-shirt not sure if it will work I have never done a material finish.

If you take a strip of rag say 1x6 soak it with paint or stain and slap it on the wood you will get a nice splatter. If the splat is too wide or long use a thinner or longer strip of rag. Of course practice on a scrap, obviously the more paint/stain the bigger the splatter. It will work though.

I was just going to use the headstock and about 2 inches of neck cut at an angle to fit the neck. I think I should just make a slotted one from scratch, the one I have is slightly wider then I want and like mentioned early it is designed for nylon strings so shaving it down may make it even weaker. Thanks for all the advice.

Thanks and I guess I just take off enough to add the top?
And yes I was referring to an actual classical guitar neck I have laying around.

I am currently building 2 tele style guitars, I think one will be a reso-electric style not sure yet. My question to anyone that can help is, can I put a classical guitar headstock on either one of these tele guitars?
Also in adding a laminated/figured top, I read about bending a top over the armrest Topic. It mentioned planing the body to accomadte the top, What is the best way to plane the armscoop?
I am very new to this whole guitar building so please make explainations simple, thanks.

Hey I have been following for a while I just signed in I think the guitar is awsome. Mantis seems like a cool name, but what about Triton. Have you ever considered the Greek gods Apollo, Achillies, etc. ?
