  1. i want to make a 8 string guitar and i want to use a EMG active bass pickup the EMG-45DC, ive heard of guitars with this pickup and i want to know if anyone has heard one of these, theyre known to have really clean high notes, besides i want to use a set of strings thats real low on the bass side and really high on the treble side, i just want to sweep on it till my fingers bleed any tips or ideas?
  2. it does look like a bearded face, of an alien tho, i dont noe im just saying cuz of the eyes
  3. hey, i want to make a guitar but i want to make the neck custom for "B" tuning if u guys have any pointers or tips, thx in advance
  4. hey, i was wondering if anyone could help me with my rg's trem, its pulled all the way back all the time and the action is out of whack my friend messed arround with the intonation pins so im gonna have to intonate it, but will that fix the trem itself thx in advance
  5. i love the fact that it is a stoner ass cab, lol
  6. that is not funny ive lost 2 guitars due to smoking, lol
  7. i think u should get rid of that bridge and get a tune-o-matic if it doesnt fit, set it in too, then it would be real nice
  8. OH MY GOD I LOST MY PICKUPS.......HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA, JUST BUGGIN
  9. one thing is for sure tho u dont need biscuits for the wings of your neckthrough just a nice pair of clapms and some good glue
  10. thx. i think i can rebuild the bandsaw for the purpose of fliping the blade tho, il do it if i happen to need it only tho the body shape im doing loox a lot like the morpheus so its gonna be tricky to stay in budget with a 100$ bandsaw and still do a good job
  11. also if i buy a nine inch bandsaw and the project im building does not let me get to where i need to cut can i flip the blade so the cutting edge is facing the other way than it is suppossed to
  12. im a cheapass so i was wondering if instead of a bandsaw i can get away with a nice jigsaw wut do u guys say i mean it is almost the same priciple
  13. i repeat ive seen the fretboard thing with my own eyes, bass guitars with this feature and i also noe wut u r talking about neck wings top
  14. ive studied the fretboard radius and the frets that become closer as u bend the string start to move away from the strings cuz of the curve so no choking
  15. i didnt mean to sound hostile srry, and i thought barre chords and the higher frets being closer about choking ive seen bass guitar with this radius and it dosent choke them unless u do demented keyboard player pulling on the pitch wheel style of bends lol thanks for ur posts by the way i did take the uli jon roth design but its gonna look different i just wanted better clearance the higher frets so that cut was the best option and il probably use the drop dsign for the headstock by the way this is my first guitar but ive read to millions of tutorials and i have everything in mind no mistakes allowed
  16. no **** its a skecth look at the fretboard shape dude!
  17. wut do u guys think and im planning to use my custom fretboard radius idea
  18. the fretboard design still makes it easier to play high notes tho, it brings the high strings closer to your fingers for shredding, i was also considering fanned frets, to bring the frets closer to each other, obviously my guitar isnt gonna be an 8 string moster such as this one here th lol
  19. i thought about this while practicing some barre chords and i noticed that it is always the 2nd and 3rd strings the ones that are hard to press well not anymore amigo!! thats just a sketch tho its actually a more subtle shape so it dosent interfere with the rest of the playing post your thoughts
  20. ur freaking crazzy man, how many frets, and can u shredd them??
  21. also if anyone knows if i buy a lespaul kit from torres engineering can i expect good sound from it??????
  22. hi everyone, im new to building guitars but ive collected a serious amount of info on the subject, enough to say that im theoretically professional, but what i plan on doing is axtending a fretboard to make it have 36 frets i plan on using a les paul kit tho any ideas on how i can make the extended cutaway so i can actually reach these frets, il probably have to make a whole new fretboard tho
