Hello, I've been a lurker for a while and finally decided to join up. I've learned quite a bit from this forum, and it appears that the members are fairly well-behaved! I've done simple mods and repairs to my guitars for years. Recently, I bought a closeout guitar body and neck from Guitarfetish. It's not exactly a "from the ground up" guitar building project, but it's my first project guitar and I'm hoping to learn from the experience of finishing it and adding hardware and electronics. The drawback with this thing is, unless I want to fill and drill holes, I need to find parts that will match up to the existing holes. Not a big deal, but it limits my choices.
Here's a link to some photos. I'm considering reshaping the top of the headstock, as the pseudo-Gibson style just doesn't look right with the PRS style body. What do you think?
