Nice work Matt. I like the black n white one but I don't see any pickups on her anywhere......HeHeHe. Lotsa Points, so, Don't Hurt Anyone With That Thing, Especially yourself.
Thanks the black and white one will not be white for long iam going to dye it a redish color there is still alot of work to do but it should turn out nice and i'll try
not to hurt myself!! As for pickups there will only be one EMG-81 and Iam not sure what bridge is going to be used yet but I'am thinking string thru.

Well I got some work done not a lot but work none the less Iam very happy
and excited about my MOD'S to the X-Infinity electric guitar this one was inspired by boredom with the original design it was too plane/lame the new one in my mind is a brutal death warfare machine deadmikes guitar had a role to play in this new design the pics just dont do it justice AT ALL I mounted the neck on to the top temporily with 2 screws in the neck pocket for the sole reason of making sure it all fits and sits right and this thing is one of the most comfortable guitars that I have built but I do have alot of hard work a head of me and I cant wait
IT WILL BE DEADLY!! when Iam done.

And I got some work done on my other 7-string I used a router bit for the conture on the top and back but it really burned so I have alot of sanding to do
so it look's very rough!! any way hear you go

So what do you think sofar any suggestions/comments

I think I agree It would be cool to see more headstock variations but the one's he works with are in my mind unique in there own right I have never seen that headstock style on some of the type's of guitars he has built like the strat style
an the RG style now it's not my fav look for those body type's but there must be
people out there that would love it. Eather way he builds amoung some of the best guitars that i've seen on this forum.
EDIT:- oh ya that arch top is nowhere near ugly it's realy cool how you strive for perfection, perfection, perfection!!
AWESOME WORK!! hyunsu

Well I cut out the top of my new guitar and I love it it's too bad I did not
use beter looking wood for the top I used purpleheart for the top and a bubinga back don't get me wrong I like the purpleheart but it's not as extreme as I would like any way thanks for the inspiration!! it's not the same shape as yours but the shape did inspire a few of my ideas I will post some pics as soon as my video card is working right.
Thanks

Nice it looks good sofar and if it look's that good and your only 16 think about when your 20 or 30 if you keep working hard and keep learing you WILL build some awesome guitars!! good luck and I can't wait to see more pics

So how's your first V doing any new progress or has the new jackson copy
taken up all your time?
!!METAL MATT!!
-
Do you have any pictures of completed guitars? Do you build necks as well?
Well I found one of my guitars that I built a while ago and
I should get some pics of that one it looks good for the most part but there are a few flaws like a small gap where the neck is placed and the finish is very thin
and Iam working on my first neck ever I use to buy whole guitars and part them out it is alot cheaper if your still learing how to build guitars since the cost of buying
all the parts on there own CAN KILL!!
rough price's
250$for a neck
4.98$for a string nut
30$for tuning machines
150$for pickups
50$for a bridge
13.00$for strap buttons
10.00$for chrome control knobs
11.00$for a 3-way pickup switch
8.00$for 500k mini pots
3.00$for a 1/4''output jack
4.00$for cavity covers
All this = 532$
the price on a cheap factory guitar 250$-300$ just look for what you like and need and your set

the neck i am getting is being made by a luthier friend of mine,
Hey goth_fiend dose your luthier friend do custom work atall if so roughly how much would he charge for a 7-string neck I have been trying to find someone who
would be willing to build a easy 22-fret 7-string neck with a custom design at the bace of the fretboard it's a soft spike thing I would suply all the wood and parts
but not the fretwire I dont have that yet now I would build it my self and I will if I must but I would rather have some one else build it since I realy want this design to work and since it's my first neck I dont want to destory it so I would rather learn on a neck that is not as important as this one is.

Ya that one seems to be a real favorit the story behind it is this about a year ago
I tryed to build some odd hairbrain wild guitar and it failed it realy failed so I cut it in to 6 part's and threw in the junk wood box then one day I got bored so I started
to glue chunks of old wood up and I just started to cut and sand and I came up with this guitar and it came out realy good not bad for garbage!!
!!METAL MATT!!
-
COOL!! Thanks for the link I must add it to my pile of favorites.
