  2. I also have to agree with the comments made how can you learn to do something the right way when your doing it roung in the first place any way your hear now and this forum is one of the best places to learn how to do it right so I hope you take all the construtive critisism you've been given and stick around. keep up the unique body designs. Have someone make you some nickel metal caps for the tips of the V (maybe the headstock too), like 4" long or so for the V and maybe 1" for the headstock. I think it would look cool and would protect the ends. Kinda like those cowboy boots with the steel-tipped toes. Great for kicking people when they're down...

Well I came up with a rough idea of what I want to do for a design what do you

think. Iam not sure how I'll get them made yet so any ideas there would be cool

    thanks.

  4. sorry about this but I found out some more info on this subject apparently John Carruthers was only doing a summary of the infinty electric guitar for GUITAR PLAYER in 1985.:D the 2 guitars were built by luthier Dave Petschulat but I still cant find any pics or info on the infinty electric guitar I have Been searching the

internet for some time and iam still looking but if there is any one that could help

it would be very helpful I don't want to come off as if iam not trying and looking for someone to hold my hand and guide me along iam just asking just in case

someone out there other than me reads old 1983 GUITAR PLAYER special equipment issues and that maybe someone may know something about the infinty electric guitar

    Thanks

SWEEEET!! :D I love that idea I could do some kind of a trible spike design and it could drag down the body a bit and I could burn the tips for that HOT METAL look. I'll join them to the body with large hand hammered rivits for a cool midevil look or screws with some kind of detachable caps that have that same look to them. thanks now you got my mind moven!! and I smell smoke :D

  6. Has anyone heard or luthier Dave Petschulat or john carruthers I need some info since I happen to be building a rough copy of the Infinity Electric Guitar and the only pics I have are from GUITAR PLAYER 1983 Issue[Dave Petschulat] and

1985 Issue [john carruthers] Iam not sure what the name of Dave Petschulat's

guitar is all I know is that its very similiar to the Infinity and that it's a detachable doubleneck guitar it's an acousitic 6-string guitar joined to a 6-string solidbody guitar I think he came up with the interlocking system but iam not sure.

    Thanks

  9. Exactly my opinion. Don't get me wrong but converting a 6 szting to a 7 string makes no sense at all. You risk ruining a good guitar in the process, pay as much money as building a new guitar will cost you AND cannot go back in case you don't like the 7 string modification. Build or buy a new 7 string, anything else is stupid in terms of money and work....

I agree with GuitarMaestro I think that if you want to do a 7-string you would be beter off to build your own. the costs would be about the same not counting the wood costs and a bit more time put in to building a new body but that way you could have your own Design and have a real one of a kind deadly axe!!
