  1. I can do everything except the metal lathe. It's at the schools shop, and they have all the tools. I'll probably just get a sheet, heat it up a little, then bend it into place. Actually a sheet wouldn't really work, cause I'd have to solder it, but I could grind off the excess. Ahhh decisions decisions. It would probably be too thin to weld

  2. Yeah, can't you polish up Stainless Steel to a near mirror finish?? And what about this nickel silver, that sounds interesting too.... The mods put it in, because I had this in the tools and workshop place, and they decided to move it. No biggie...

  3. I need the following.

    Double Cream pickups

    Sperzel 3 +3 chrome

    schaller roller bridge (6 string)

Oh yeah, I also need a Gibson stats ebony fingerboard. 22 frets.........

And what I have to trade is a rare Epiphone Poly V guitar body. It's mahogany with a flamed maple top, turquoise, set up for HH, Floyd, and a bolt on neck. Pictures can be available. Great for a project or something, I don't know where you could get a neck, but you can build on yourself......

  4. Yeah, I'm gonna get some crappy wood to practice on. I looked at my dad's LP, and I love it. I AM going to have the back and sides natural, as was his. His top was at least 1/2" though. So would that be really hard to make sure it's 1/4" (or width of binding) all around the edges??? Also, where do you start when you carve? Cause it starts at the edges does a dip (moving toward the center), climbs up, takes a dip, then levels at 1/4". Thanks, for your patience with a Rookie like myself.

  5. No, I'm gonna do my paint job exactly like Gibson's, except on a double cutaway type thing. I'm planning on carving the top, w/ cream binding, but I won't leave the edges natural. Dangit, this is gonna be more complicated than I thought...... 1/4" isn't thick enough to carve the top, so I guess I'm gonna have to shell out for the 3/4" or something like that....
