I haven't found anything yet. I've away for a few days so I couldn't respond. But if you could still find that wood for me I'd appreciate it. But I may not be able to buy for a little while but just see whats available.
Thanks

I am building myself a nice bass, mahagany body ,maple-walnut neck, everything is fine up to the point where i need to installed the bridge, easy, just pre-drill and installed.Well not so easy, the bridge i got is from ebay, very affordable, not to say cheap, look good, gold .As soon a i start to screw it in, one of the screw just pop,it snap on me.Fortunatly it is sticking out so i can get it out.But now i have a probleme, Is the bridge itself the same type of metal, and will it destroyed itself on instalation, or on string instalation ,do i take the risk, plus the maching head are from the same place.Do i take a chance?

Thickness needs to be standard ( 1 3/4'' I think?) 2 or 3 or 4 peices would be acceptable.

Oh, I understand, but, I was saying 50 is reasonable but the stew-mac price is like 90 bucks just for a strat sized project. warmoth has good blanks but they dont have the maple, I want this bass to be very heavy and hard on the shoulder, not to mention punchy as hell. with a long scale maple neck with it I think i can achieve all that.

I don't mean to insult but I think 50's very reasonable...
I'm confused. Hows this insulting?

hey, I need to find a Hard maple body blank (not flamed or figured, as plain as possible) thats at least 20''X 15'' for a bass project. I think stew-mac has sopmething like like but way over priced like most of their stuff is. I think a good price is aroung $50.
Thanks

I guess noone knows about the RD?

Hello, Have any of you seen an RD Artist Bass (Gibson). Lemme tell ya, they're awesome! But, Unfortunately, They haven't been made since 1982, Thus they are expensive and hard to find. So I have decided to try and re-create this bass, Which is a task I've never heard of anyone else trying to take-on. The problem is that info and parts are rare and I'm not willing to improvise past a certain extent. I need a complete wiring diagram (for the bass, not the guitar) with pictures, maybe a place that is selling the circut board, I need a good peice(s) of ard maple thats at least 20''X15''X1 3/4'' (for the body), I need a neck blank that allows a 34 3/8'' scale (maybe with extra room for the peg-head) that can be attached to the body the way Gibsons are (not neck-thru but kind of glued on somehow), and pretty much any info or other materials you know of. I have found alot of info and materials, but who knows, I surely overlooked alot of stuff.
thanks

It would be best if all that was taken care of already, but how much would it cost?
