  1. The wraparound is a one piece bridge, but yes the string goes through the front and wraps around the back side of the bridge and over the saddles. I know there a guitar players that wrap their strings aroung the tailpiece like you described but the wraparound bridge is a different design.
  2. As per my "String thru body" post, I'm trying to decide what to do with the bridge of my project guitar. I've been thinking of string thru body design, but after more research I'm curious about switching to a wraparound bridge. Anyone use wraparounds and is all the hype about tone and sustain true? What do you guys use?
  3. Maybe head over to StewMac for this --they give detailed specs for their bridges, you'll be able to see what will/might fit.
  4. Yeah, I know. The guitar has only a couple of coats of black spray paint on it anyway. I'm okay with any bridge choice?
  5. I've got a Les Paul copy guitar that I want to mod. Its an archtop with a very thin maple top. What I want to do is convert it from a stop tailpiece to string through body. I want to slap on a new bridge anyways so will any bridge do? I know that placement of the bridge is crucial, but how far behind the bridge should I drill for the string ferrules and can I drill the ferrules in any pattern I want? Thanks in advance
