Under the paint on the headstock...it said BC RICH NJ series 785. Should finish sanding it by the end of the weekend...will get pics up next week. And no plywood found...body is Maple as best as I can tell....will let you guys see soon.

Headstock Realized I forgot a pic of the headstock. Again...not sure on how long it will stay active as it is the pic from the auction.

This is my first attempt at a refinish. Bought the guitar on Ebay for $60. I will be getting some hosted space so I can post links.....here are 3 pics or her before anything is done taken by the seller. There is NO sealer or clearcoat or anything on it. It was spray painted and strung. (She looks a lot worse in real life...believe me) Not sure how long the pics will be active as they are from the link used in the auction. At this point, she is about 60% sanded. As I have had no luck getting filler (and it needs it bad), I will be ordering it from ReRanch when they are back on the 9th of November. Going to use a Multi-Tone metallic auto paint to finish it off. I have autopaint primer and sealer. I love browsing this place...and if this goes well....might go from scratch mext time, I have a few ideas flopping around in the few brain cells left

Right....I have done that. (All of the links on the first link were purple ) And ReRanch is my guide....that and the Project Guitar tutorials. BUT Lowes doesn't have it.....that is why I asked if it was truely necessary.....just having trouble finding it.

I have been looking around at a few websites....that is about it. Once I get an answer to the post below this one, I can get started with the sand and shape. I will post some pics of the Bich when I get rolling.....here is the original from front and bottom.

You know the paint I am looking for. You have seen it on cars that looks purple from the front and blue from the back. ANyone know where I can get a few cans of this?

Can anyone tell me where I can find this? I have been to Lowes and Home Depot and the guys in the paint department looked at me like I was on crack. How about some input? Is it even necessary if I am gonna use the Pro Finisher Sand and Shape?
