  1. I saw this tutorial on 13° necks 13° And was wondering if it would be better to saw the 13° angle instead of gluing peacis of wood togeather? I am going to try and deskibe what I mean with words if that wont work then I shall try and use my paint skills ... What I mean is when you glue the woods togeather cant you have it thick enough so you can saw the head down with the 13 angle? or is that just harder to do and weaker when done??? I have an Ibanez BTB400QM bass and I realy cant see that the neck is built like the tutorial shows. I would think they did it the way I tought was right.
  2. No I never played that bass ... but I am going to check it out how it sounds and stuff. But I have been reading articles about body wood.... How mutch does it matter what body you have??
  3. I send in a post about a bass I am going to defrett and have some fun with .. and there I sead that it was a trash bass ... now I ripped it apart and noticed that the body is made out of MDF!!!! now what should I do, buy a new body or use this?? wont it sould horrible when made out of MDF??
  4. And also if I shold use DRAK'S approach ... should I find another pickup to use??
  5. What bridge sould I use .. I like the looks of the Single string bridges rather than the regular ones .. what are the benefits of them?
  6. That realy is an interesting approach ... I might do that instead... That looks sipler that my Idea
  7. Hello there. I am new to this board and also new to the art of guitar building.... I have a solidbody "Trash bass" witch I bought for 40$ or so. And I am thinking of ripping out the fretts and installing a new pickup. The pickup I was thinking of using is the Delano DJC4 HE pickup in this bass. I have realy no Idea of what kind of wood is in the body of this trash the only thing I know is that the neck is maple and does not have a rosewood fretboard. And a few other thoughts I had of this mission of mine is that I thought that the bass would sound better if it where "holow body" so I was wondering if it would be ok to route a few lines in the body kinda like the warmoth tele body I will put links in the end of this post. Also If you guy's think this mission of mine is utterly stupid please dont hurt me with words. Rather tell me what I should rather do in this matter. Please forgive my horrible spelling I am from Iceland Delano Tele holow
