  1. thanks guys. i'm not using a top on the guitar. its my first one so i thought i'd keep it as simple as possible. i'll just drill from the neck pickup to the switch on an angle and hope it makes it.
  2. thanks. i always thought that using longer screws was unnecessary and was too much work.
  3. I know this has been covered before, but I'm still not sure. How do you get the part for the ears deeper? What's wrong with just making the entire cavity 1 1/4"? Also would anyone know the best way to drill a hole from the pickup cavity to a les paul pickup switch. Should I just use a long drill and drill from the neck pickup to the switch cavity or drill from where the guitar strap button would go? Thanks.
  4. that can actually be read 2 different ways.
  5. I know a TOM bridge has to be slightly angled so that the saddles on the treble side are closer to the nut. But which side, the bass or treble side, is suppose to be right on the scale length mark? Thanks.
  6. les pauls have their pickup selector switches at the top of the guitar. how do you route the wires to it? drill a hole from the volume and tone cavity to the switch? thanks.
  7. Thanks. The neck pocket will be 5/8" deep so the top of the fretboard will be 1/4" above the guitar body. I guess i'll go with 4 degrees. I'm building a les paul style guitar actually.
  8. I'm building a guitar with a tune o matic and I need to know the neck angle because of the tall bridge. Does anyone know the standard angle for guitars that use a tune o matic? Thanks.
  9. does anyone know the neck angle for gibsons or any guitar that uses tune-o-matics? i've heard of how to determine it and i came up with about 4 or 5 degrees. sound right? thanks.
