  1. just thought i'd share a little i travel to costa rica alot and finally found a guy who has cocobolo. a few years ago i made my first guitar from a piece of other native hardwood called "cristobal". check out the vid for that if u want. But anyway here is some pics from the pieces i got recently on my trip there. It starts in the mountain city called sarchi. Met this guy, cut me some cocobolo straight from a log. he also gave me some purpleheart. the wood hs been drying for a year. i recently had another guy resaw the pieces into many different thickness planks.
  2. Check out the beginning to end vid: The wood is cristobal. It is a hardwood from the mountains of costa rica. I picked this wood from a dying stack in a mountain town called "Sarchi" myself and thus started my project. Pickups are 2 PRS Dragon II's, 1 Fender vintage 50's reissue 1 on/off/on switch 2 push/pull knobs I wanted it to be as unclutterd as it could on top. switch turns the hums on and off( hridge hum/off/neck hum) . P/P volume turns on the single coil. P/P tone coil taps the hums
