  1. Hi Kac, Once again, I find myself referring a builder to Vintage Vibe Guitars. Pete Biltoft there will custom make anything you need. His pickups have wonderful sound and are very affordable. Geez, you'd think I work for the guy, but I don't. I pay the same as the rest of you. E-mail at cynpete1@earthlink.net, tell him what you need, and you're there. He's fast, too.
  2. Hi the doctor, I e-mail Pete at cynpete1@earthlink.net, tell him about the project, and he tells me what to Paypal him. I less than a week, most time, I have great pickups.
  3. Check out Vintage Vibe Guitars for great, affordable pickups. When I make a jazz or blues style that calls for single coils, I give pete Biltoft an e-mail and he voices everything perfectly for me. His sp-90's are superb. They have the wiring and guts of a p90 in a single coil size. Check him out at www.vintagevibeguitars.com. Great stuff. Good luck on your project!
  4. My GUESS in that these are inexpensive (read: cheap) offshore pup's. If you want to play your axe with satisfaction, get a set of quality humbuckers. GFS, while not the BEST quality, offers some really good ban-for-the- buck 'buckers. If I were you, Id go for SD, Gibson, or Rio Grande. Best, Dave
  5. By the way, you might have already thought of it, but be sure each pot is grounded as well.
  6. I would STRONGLY consider the Gibson 496r (neck) and 500t (bridge) pickups. They are extremely powerful and, if you dial them back, can also be used clean. My customers love them. Peace.
