  1. I love combination of Wilkinson VS100 and Sperzel locking tuners on my Brian Moore MC1. It's something like PRS tremolo. It stays in tune very well if you don't use tremolo bar like Steve Vai . It's also perfect swap for stock fender tremolo and tuners (it fits perfectly ). It will also stay on my next project guitar. That one on Ebay is kinda expensive for my opinion because it is one of older models. Peace Borut
  2. Purchased from Ishibashi 6 months ago. Brand new unused. Still has paper for protection on it. Possible trades....
  3. No, I don't have pics of process, because I dont have my own camera. We have one in our company but it's hard to get it avaiable. I will probably buy one soon (if i'll not spend all $$ in guitars ) That binding is natural maple wood. Top is painted with black water soluble color and i left edge in natural wood color to get kinda PRS binding
  4. There was two reasons why i decided to go with acoustic bridge. I had bunch of spare parts at home. All were used for that guitar I also tried Carvin AE185 and i felt in love. String mounting ferrules are also hand made by my co-worker (thanks Tomaz blush ). I would go with different structure of wood, but it is hard to get good pieces of wood here in Slovenia. Luckily i have piece of Paduak for my next project. I must say a big thanks to my friend Robert for helping with neck. It would be pain in the ... for me to do neck for the first time without any help. I also expected totaly different sound. I thought that guitar will be very bright sounding, but suprisingly it's not. It reminds me on my ex guitar Godin TC Artisan signature. Hard rockin' bitch . When it is unpluged it is very loud (probably because of bridge). I am quite satisfied with my first take, but second will be probably better. Also big thank to this fantastic site rock . If you wanna know any detail just ask....my next project in near future will probably be: padauk body (brian moore mc/1 style) with curly maple top ( if i'll have luck to get it somewhere) birdseye maple neck with brazilian rosewood fingerboard, LGM inlay's (probably some expensive, funky, unusual inlays....i have plenty time to think about them:rolleyes: wilkinson tremolo, gold hardware,sperzels.... probably will be next week another scenario. Im like April weather when it comes to building guitars. Just look at the headstock of my first guitar. Mix between reversed 6in line Brian Moore and Parker
  5. Check http://www.rotos.si/custom party .....i like it .....Brian, without this site that guitar probably would never exist
  6. stay away from jem555's. It's also quite expensive for 555
  7. in one short word: woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow wOOt wOOt wOOt did you calculate all costs? my G.A.S. syndrome is again in full-power
  8. This one: http://www.conklinguitars.com/hollowgaller...e8descript.html without one string would be cool
  9. Situation: i had few months ago PRS Custom 24 from 92' (see pics at http://www.rotos.si/prs ) and then i sold it for very good money to one trusty guy . Today he visited me and he saw my JEM77BFP (see pics at )When he saw it he was like wOOt . He plays JEM's through all his career (mostly FP's and SK). He offered me that PRS for 1:1 trade. I dont know what to do. I have better feeling with playing that PRS, but i have emotional contact with BFP. If i decide to do that swap, i'll probably look for another BFP. You could imagine how rare is in Slovenia, but PRS is rare also. Most of JEM's in Slovenia went through my hands. I know for a least two BFP's in Slovenia. First one is kinda smashed but it is for sale for 600$, second one is mint like mine but not for sale . I've got mine about two years ago in Croatia for 950$. Please help me to decide. Borut P.S. Also check Brian's quick photo shots of my new Carvin DC747C ( see pics at http://www.rotos.si/carvin . I watch these pics every day before sleep
  10. At this moment: Ibanez JEM77BFP Godin Artisan TC Signature Ibanez RG550 1 project in work soon will come Carvin DC747 Boss DS1 and Laney pro tube30 amp i miss my Brian Moore I9F and Hiwatt Custom100 amp(stolen)
  11. Also possible trades (but i don't know if it will be anyone interested 'cause i'm from Slovenia
  12. its autocad type of file (use ACAD14 or 2000) to see or modify it....
  13. try this http://borut.rudnix.com/acad14.dxf ....first one is for use with acad2000 .....damn i hate those save as previous version...
  14. http://borut.rudnix.com/pickguard.dxf ...here is dxf file if you plan to make it from scratch ....
  15. First choice was walnut. Probably the first combination would make guitar too bright sounding. Then i looked again on list of avaiable options. Koa would be probably good too, but mahagony costs a lot less and it is even more dark sounding. Lots of people said to me also that on guitar with neck through body is the most important wood of neck. I didnt want to walnut help gutar to be more bright ....So i think that my final combination will be well balanced 7string guitar P.S. Patrick cool Smilies
  16. Ok .....i ordered this configuration (different wood): DC747 7 string with Floyd Rose Tremolo (no locking nut but locking tuners) Gold plated hardware Dunlop Strap Locks phase switch for humbucker Dunlop Low-Wide frets installed Birdseye maple fingerboard/ without inlays 5 piece maple neck with two koa stripes Tung Oil finish back of neck Koa headstock overlay Engraved Truss Rod Cover Maple neck and Mahogany body with Tung Oil finish Vintage Tweed premium plywood hardshell guitar case.
  17. Probably will be plain walnut... it looks sexy i havent decided yet about woods anyway. Maybe it will be mahagony or koa. Other specifications will stay the same. Resale value is not important to me, because i'm buyin' it to stay in my collection instead of PRS  . PRS is very good (and too expensive) guitar but its so specific for me. Peace
  18. What do you think about this combination: DC747 with Floyd Rose tremolo gold hardware maple neck and walnut body 5 piece neck with two walnut stripes walnut headstock overlay Birdseye maple fingerboard / no inlays low wide frets Pickups phase switch Dunlop Straploks Engraved TrussRod Cover any suggestion, opinion? For my opinion it will be killer lookin' guitar. I just dont know if guitar will have too bright sound because of the wood combination. What about mahagony instead of walnut. What about floyd roses on these guitars? Anybody knows them? Couple of people told me that they're very good.....any suggestion?
