  1. On the body we have a Beech and Oak combo And the fretboard is Maple, Beech, Cheery and Black american Walnut
  2. Hello there, some of you may have remembered my first topic on the bass i was building i have got a little further along now and would like to share it with every one. Let me know what you think! Cheers ben!
  3. I will be coating the whole bass with a polyester laquer, which is tougher then PU (i am a proffessional sprayer also ) and buffs up to the sort of finish you would find in a jaguar (car) walnut trim. I am also considering using nylon covered strings as well.
  4. I do own a warwick corvette, so i suppose yes in a way it is a bit.
  5. Hello there, im new to this forum so go easy. I have been building this for a few months now and just wondered what every one thought? The body is of my own design, and is a 5 piece construction of Oak and Beech. The neck, which has been based on the Fender Jaguar bass neck (the bass I own and cherish), The neck is made from maple and has an oak strip and headstock sides. The multiwood piece you see there will eventually become my basses fretboard, and that is compromised of maple, cherry, beech and black american walnut. i personally have never seen any thing like this done before, so im eagerly awaiting it to be completed. These pictures are not the most recent, it is a little further developed by now All the hard ware is on its way and should be with me soon, and i have decided to use some EMG J pickups on the bass. will be posing more pictures up soon. Cheers Ben
