  1. There was a slight warp in one of the peices, but I don't believe thats the reason didn't seem big enough to cause a problem for the glue. I brought it out of the house and into a factory and I think the humidity change is what really made it happen. It had been fine for months and then yesterday all of a sudden it pops up. And actualy its only in three areas I looked at it again. I'm going to try and reglue just those areas because I've already done all the contours and taking off the top and reglueing the whole thing seems very inpractical to me seeing as the clamping would be very difficult with the contours. If anyone has any suggestions though on how I'd be able to clamp the top back on with the contours, I might be willing to try that as ultimately qaulity is the goal.
  2. Hey Guys, I'm building a guitar with bloodwood on top and maple on the bottom, its a semi hollow body and each side is almost an inch thick. I just noticed that in about 5 areas the glues has come loose, not very much though. Can't be more than a 64th of an inch, but none the less it is splitting. Could I just get a needle and put more glue in an clamp it done? or maybe use epoxy? Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
  3. Hi, I use the line in on my pc, but I just bought an iMic, which uses a usb interface, they claim it sounds better since its not a sound card or something. I used it to record my school play onto my laptop since it doenst have a mic in. Its about 35 dollars, and I think it works pretty well. I haven't actually tried acid pro before, but I've heard it's a good program. I use Audacity, I think it works pretty well, its what I used on the songs I recorded. Its got a bunch of good features, I think. But it's real easy to use, and best of all free. Hope this helped. Peace. BConner
  4. Hi. I just keep messing with file and it keeps getting better. There is yet again another veriosn (not really another verison, but mixed better). Its on my site www.blair.tk But I also started a new song, walking at night. And I want to make it longer, but am not really sure how to continue it. Any comments or ideas would be awesome. BConner
  5. Hey Everyone, I've just finished rerecorded my Rock On Song. Its on the second song page in my website. www.blairconner.tk I tried using audacity and it helped a lot. Theres barely any background noise and its mixed alot better. Hope you like it more than the first one. Peace. BConner
  6. Very nice job. That quilted maple is beautiful. Where did you find such a piece? I'm hoping to start my third guitar in the near future and would love to have quilted maple of that qaulity on a guitar of mine. I like that bridge also. good Job Blair
  7. Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. As for the whammy bar I like personally, I got it off ebay for like 10 dollars, quite a deal. The only problem though is that you can't dive it very far. I had to bend the bar because if I hadnt the tip of it would be like 6 inches off the body, a little to high for my liking. But its probably because of string tension and how I set-up the springs. I got it mainly for the look, but its fun to use. As for the neck being crooked, your probably right, I actually just looked at at and it is slightly angled, the picture though kinda makes it seem larger than it really is though. The guitar was actually leaning to the left a little in the picture, good thing it didnt fall. Blair
  8. Here are some more detailed pictures of the guitar. One of the headstock and one of the body.
  9. Hey silvertonessuckbutigotone thanks for the program suggestion. One more question though, how should I be recording into my computer? I have it set-up so that my digitech (RP-200) is hooked up directly to my pc by the headphone jack on the pedal and the mic input on the pc. What woudl be a better way to have it set up?
  10. Hey Gorecki, that's the kind of stuff I'm trying to find out. 1. It sounds like wanking over the jam section of Skynard's Freebird. -Not really something I can give an answer to but I understand what your saying. It's probably just inexperience for me 2. What was it recorded in? There's a lot of noise that could easily be removed, intro hums, string movement..etc. -The recording program I use isnt actually for recording musical instruments, its for recording old LP's and such into your pc so you can put em on a cd. I need to get an actual recording program, if you know of a program that would be cheap and easy to use let me know. It's also probably from the pedal and the connection from the pedal to the pc (headphone jack in pedal to the mic input on the back of the pc). 3. There is no mix, it was almost painful to listen to. Rhythm guitar is way too loud, drums too soft. -Again due to how I recorded everything. Recorded the drums and the rhythm guitar at once. and then played that recording and played the lead along with it (one of the reasons for all the annoying hum and such) Thanks for your comment though. If you have any other tips on how to improve it let me know.
  11. Hey, I just recently recorded this song, my first with drums in it. A drum loop, but drums none the less. Its on my website www.blairconner.tk in the song section, its called Rock On. Any comments or suggestions would be great. Hope you like it.
  12. Very nice looking. I had the same problems with the first guitar a built, buzzing strings, high action, etc. Doing a second time makes it a lot easier since you know what your doing. Keep up the good work, looks really nice.
  13. Hey, I agree with Maiden69, it does look to bright with the white background. I think its a cool idea having the amp building and piano stuff, but I think the project guitar website is fine.
  14. I changed my orginal message, but here is the link to my website again. The pictures are in the projects page. Its also got pictures of my first guitar. www.blairconner.tk We'll try this picture thing again.
  15. Dude, very nice guitar, especially for a first one. I'm 16 now and just finished my second guitar, but I built one when I was 15 and yours totally destroys it. Keep up the good work.
