    i agree with the other reply you got, if it is a solid color now you never know what lies beneath, gibson got pretty bad about that though the 70's into the 80's

    It is made of hard maple. Not to sure what kind of finish. Can i reuse the frets, or would I have to put new ones on? ← unless you just really love this neck i think you may be getting into more than you want to trying to stain it, don't get me wrong, it can be done....but you could sell it and get one you want much easier

    from my experience (but i have only played one of these set ups for about an hour) i would give it a 7, it seems very stable and stays in tune well, i am just a floyd man at heart, but compared to a standard fender 6 screw trem it is 10 times better
