Thanks for the welcomes I have seen the UK site a few times but this one has proven more useful to me, I will probably sign up to both eventually. Hopefully all being well I should be able to get started on my build mid-late September, I'm still planning and pricing things up at the moment. There is some stuff I just can't get here in the UK so am having to find places in the US to ship here. Cheers Adam

As the title says, hi everyone, I'm new here. I suppose I should put a little about myself in here so you know who I am. My name's Adam, I'm a 22 year old Audio Technology (BSc) student at the University of Lincoln in the UK. I've been playing guitar for nearly 16 years now and have decided instead of buying yet more guitars, I want to make my own. I currently own about 10 guitars all different. My guitars are a Custom Shop Cort X-6, 2003 Fender USA Strat, PRS Santana, ESP Kirk Hammett KH-2, Yamaha Pacifica, Yamaha Acoustic of some variety (it's awful), highly customised Encore Strat copy, and a few other cheap guitars I've ripped all the electronics out of, and replaced with decent stuff. I'm currently planning to build a 7-string seeing as what I want isn't available in the shops. I'm hoping to make it a modified Les Paul shape, with 24 fret neck, and a few electronic goodies built in. I've been wanting to build my own guitar for years now, but I have only just come around to actually building up the guts to do it, and I've always wanted a 7-string but as I say, they don't do what I want in the shops. I've been lurking around on here for a while as unregistered just reading some guides, and threads about things I may do to my guitar but I think I may need some advice and help during my build, so thought I'd actually sign up and say hi. Well that's about it for now I think, if you wanna know anything else about me, just ask I don't bite Adam
