  1. Thanks for the comments guys, I know the lower wing looks off-set/un-balanced a bit, but when I strap it on, its got the perfect balance, doesn't want to head dive or anything. Also it helped me accomidate for the narrowness of the body. As I carved away at it with a rasp and scrappers, i put it on my leg to see how it would balance. That upper horn was my own idea that nobody liked when I started it, by the end everyone wanted to know how I did it. That is something I want to try to use on all the basses I make, with more laminates though. I signed up to photo bucket. com, if anyone can help me how do I put up a link so people can go right to my photo bucket link? Thanks Jeff

  3. Hey everyone, Jeff Nielsen from Ontario, Canada. I just finished a 5 month building and repair course with Joe Kovacic of Lado Guitars in Ontario. I've build one of my own basses and several of his guitars. I've been playing and fixing my own guitars since I was 12. I own my own bass i built, i call her #001, 6 string Lado Legend bass, 5 string Fbass, a 1973 Lado super falcon, Lado Matrix, Lakland Syline 44-01, Mexican P-bass(defretted and upgraded all over), 1980's Yamaha 6 string accoustic guitar. I've been lurking around Project Guitar for a while but just never joined. I'm looking forward to building custom instruments especially neck through basses. I'd like to post a picture but I don't know how to right now. Ill give a description of it though as best I can. 34" 4 string fretted bolt on bass: Neck: curly+birdseye maple/bubinga/curly+birdseye maple Headstock: curly walnut Truss rod cover: walnut/indian rosewood/red abalone 'N' logo Fretboard: 24 fret indian rosewood Body: 2 piece - african mahogany Top: 5 piece - curly walnut/ebony/brazilian rosewood/ebony/curly walnut Pickup: Shadow humbucker in bridge position.
