Stoopid question:
How do you remove the plate when you need in, without scratching the finish with a pocket knife or screwdriver, or something? That is a mighty fine way to put on a plate, btw.
Experience with a Schecter C1- Elite guitar. The paint is HARD. Under the paint is a sealer/primer that looks opaque. Sand the paint off, leave the sealer. If you get into the wood, you will be forced to seal that section and smooth it out. Also from experience.
After you get done, you can feel good about having a unique "off the shelf" guitar.
Good luck!
Well, if you like the guitar, it feels good in your hands, inspires you to play/practice more...
Then by all means, buy expensive parts for it.
If not, then you might look elsewhere.
