Are you going to clear coat over the top?

If you are, then you'd need to clean it up anyway, to get rid of the dust etc

I thought this would be the best place to post this thread.

I'd like to show you the 1964 Guild X175ch that I've restored

I know it's got the wrong bridge and tuners, it's even the wrong colour, it should be cherry red. But I built it for playing, not looking at in a museum.

Have to try the dropping down the stairs thing with the Bocaster...how many flights of stairs? Cement? Tile? Carpeting?

Oh yeah, I agree, that strat head doesn't look right. Why not carve it to tele style?

The Strat neck is on there because it was the only thing he liked about his old Strat and he wanted it put on the Tele body I sold him along with a bunch of other mods, what he wants he gets.

Part of the relicing was done with a plane because when I did the forearm contour, I did it in the wrong place for the way he plays, the rest is from him not using a case and dropping it down about 40 carpeted stairs on to his housemates mountain bike.

The back of it looks pretty similar to the front but with the addition of major buckle rash. I don't think he'd ever sell it, he loves it more than anything else he's ever owned.
