  1. pup depth on several factory guitars

Floyd Rose strat :19mm or close to 3/4"

    Jackson RR3 : 19mm

    Washburn strat : 18mm

3 Squiers, two with PG, one without- all three were 20mm or a hair past 3/4"

    Ibanez jem77fp : 19mm

Interestlingly enough ,most of them have 1.5" of space between the Low E saddle and the bridge pup poles .

IDK about standard, but there's some averages.

  2. I have used cherry for bodies and necks. I wouldn't write it off as "brighter than maple", and would judge each piece on its own merit. I just finished a maple and cherry semi-hollow , which is very "woody"-sounding and not bright at all.

On the other hand, i also did up a maple and black walnut semi-hollow with a mahogany neck and it is much brighter sounding, even plugged in.

  3. you did good. don't forget to tally your hours of labor spent. Time is money, too.

and IDK about getting $710 back out of it. you made it pretty, but i don't think it'll be a profitable adventure.

As a player though, it looks like a good one from here.

Sound clips?? Would like to hear it. I have a Blues Saraceno Trembucker that i LOVE. I'd like to hear the difference between it and the George Lynch version.

  4. As stated earlier, the feel of those particular scales and perp that location might feel odd. That thing has some wild looking pitch at the first fret , i could see how your hand wouldn't cooperate.

FWIW i use a 25.5" on top and a 24.75 inch on the bottom because I like the feel of a Fender for rythym strings and Gibby's for lead silkiness. The combo of those and a 5th fret perp allows me to use a regular Floyd Rose base for a bridge and my finger sits parallel to the 0 fret in the first position, and all the way down the neck it follows the contour of the slant.

multiscale has its purpose ,but there are soo many varieties, finding one that works for you might not be worth the effort.

but hey- you built a nice looking guitar and gave some business to a few forum members. Not a bad deal at all, IMO.
