  1. Hey Joe thanks for your precise words. Well for starters i love gigliotti guitars,i have over 50 guitars in my collection but these have always fascinated me in the stability. Ive always wanted a great flying v that could crossover to all styles of playing that had an original look without looking like a frankenstein guitar and when i went to namm last year the opportunity presented itself to connect with some of the people i really respect in the guitar industry. This is not an add about guitars for me but the promotion of possibilities that live within the people that surround you.We all have something we are good at and other things we wish we were doing but are not.Gigliotti started his first claim to fame sort of speak when joe bonamassa started playing them..thats the telecaster thing .One day i said to pat lets make me a v and tv jones is not usually associated with rock and i know that tom loves hard rock and punk but is associated with that gretsch thing but he has awesome rock pickups what a great chance to break some conceptions and show some possibilities. The true temperament fret company is in europe we have only talked on the net and quickly became friends. This is an awesome small company that works and has worked their ass off to perfect this system they built why not let more people they exist.I could understand how some people could think this is some kind of add thing but the only thing being sold here is the experience of going through this building trip with us and have some fun for nothing. To me its kind of like inviting everybody over to be part of this thing in an interactive way.One of my main jobs in life is to motivate people and it is in my normal way of thinking to achieve higher goals everyday and surpass myself as many times a year as possible.I also help kids all over the world on the net and one of the ways i do it is by showing people that getting things done is as easy as just doing it. I know im new here and i know the mentalities of most luthiers..When your locked up trying to make a living selling instruments ,breathing your cocobolo dust and spray fumes, staying locked up in their own world of survival could make for some pretty bitter critical people. I quite the music business so many times and have been in it form every angle. The truth be said..I just want to have some fun with some great people, get some smiles, get some laffs, and learn from each other and pass it on.The power of giving for nothing goes a whole lot further then most people think. Well you wanted to know thats it..if your interested in some of my motivation blogs you could check them out on my youtube page. Take care Momo
  2. Hey Wez its all good...when i update the page i will make sure i put up the cad design pics to show the evaluation ..ill let you know when its done so you can give me your vibe. I do appreciate the out side points of view. Have a great day Thanks Momo
  3. Hi Willem First of all i wanted a flying v, Next this whole conception about holding a v sitting down is getting old for me.Ask anyone who owns a v and they will tell you the same thing ,YOU PUT THE V BETWEEN YOUR LEG AND CALF and guess what it puts your neck in the perfect playing position right up in your face. I wont say that i would want all my guitars to be like that but it always freaks me out when i see a guy trying to put it on his lap like a regular guitar and wondering why it keeps sliding down. For those who still think like that i will also be putting on a steinberger type flip out leg rest. BOLT ON ..Yes it is a bolt on because i wanted it that way,Most v guitars are not this one is,we will see how it sounds. In closing the fretting system kills, you could bend like you want or fry an egg on them. The guitar sounds more precise to the point that it punches out more percussion then ive ever heard. Hope this answers some of your questions. Have a great day Momo
  4. Hey Wez Thanks,But tell me ..does it really matter...That is the original pic i first put together for all the guys involved to see the vibe..We then locked it down and the guitar will go from a picture idea to reality ...and the only difference will be that it will look even better and have a great story and amazing footage for us all to trip on.Tom tv jones is an awesome guy that makes awesome products,is an awesome luthier him self and plays up a storm as a player and developed a very successful business for him self. We can all learn and trip with each other. You seem like a really cool guy who makes awesome guitars.Im really a bass player and have been checking your stuff out in awe ......Have a great day and thanks for the input. Peace Momo
  5. These are true temperament frets, I tried these at the 2009 winter namm and was completely blown away. See Momo
  6. Here it all begins,This is my first time on one of these types of forms,This cut throat jumping the gun syndrome is typical. This is not a contest for me but an idea i had in my head and just excited it.I love people, i am a motivator in life and this falls into another category of what i love to do,Connecting people and ideas and then having a great meal together and some great laffs at the end.Have a great day. Momo
  7. The term innovation means a new way of doing something. It may refer to incremental, radical, and revolutionary changes in thinking, products, processes, or organizations. I a world where the internet is exploding the opportunities to discover new builders and giving builders that are already established in a particular niche the chance to have some fun a bust out of their mold. Gigliotti never made a flying v before,Tv jones pickups are not associated with rock,Most rock guitars are not designed to sound good in all types of music, this one will, There has never been a flying v with 4 pickups,I have never seen a half and half neck with those true temperament frets..The True temperament frets are an innovation in-itself. In closing we will all get together to film and play this creation that was put together by 7 people from around the world just because i asked them to.I f no one thinks they could learn any tips and tricks from some of these masters of their trade on a form thats dedicated to guitar building then i dont know what to say more. Lets enjoy life and be happy for other peoples attempts to bring the fun back to music. See ya Momo
  8. Hey There simon i dont see what there is to be confused about...if you click on the links for the videos you will see the guitar being built and conceived in real time by a bunch of strangers that have just met or never met yet,Thought you might enjoy the process for connecting people and ideas in a fresh inspiring way which is what i do.The guitar will be finished and full documented on video at tom jones lab in the week 2 come.Hope this clears things up a bit. Momo Yeah i sound like a complete idiot. Sorry I didn't look at the video and from the pictures it looks like the guitar control cavity goes through the guitar on one side but not on the other, same with the pickup cavities. I didn't realise that it was made from 2 shells. May i ask why you decided to paint it before gluing the two halves together. Once again i'm sorry for leaping to conclusions, i've just never seen a guitar constructed like that before Hey Simon no problem my friend this is really cool its 7 companies that are some of the most talented builders and innovators ive met. This is going to be cool. Have a great night Momo
