  1. Ok, I have deconstructed the guitar and I have run into a problem, the existing holes are 4" wide by 1.25" and it seems that most soapbars I have seen would run 3.5" by 1.5". I am OK with having to sand and repaint the body, but would really like to avoid doing routing work in the guitar. Jazz style pickups look to run only about 1" (1.1" with the screw areas) and that would leave a lot of open space around the pickup. What would my best options be? Is there a pickguard I could use to obscure the holes? Any ideas would be helpful. THanks.
  2. I own a 90's Peavey Foundation Fretless Bass guitar that I will be rebuilding from the finish up. I would like to replace the pickups as well, anyone done this? can I just put in any kind of soapbar?
  3. I am the owner of a Fretless Peavey Foundation Bass guitar that is in desperate need of a total rework. A long time ago I attempted to deconstruct the guitar in order to take a look at it. The original color of the guitar was black before a poor strip job left it in some rendition of a natural wood finish. but the laquor job used to make this was absolutely horrid. It appears that the bridge and the pickups have been laquored to the actual guitar. What is the best method of removing the laquor and freeing my PUPS and bridge? HELP.
