Ive never seen or heard anything about this but is it possible to do a sunburst without showing the grain. This is probably a dumb question Ive just never seen this.

For my first build, Im planning on having one humbucker, a volume control, and a jack of course. Can anyone link me to any schematics or explain to me how this is done because I havent ever done any wiring jobs.
Im working on my first build and have a few (a shitload) of questions. Most pressingly, when choosing the bridge and nut, is there a formula or a way to calculate what the string spacings need to be or can I just freehand it?
