I thought I would add some progress pictures on this small project I am working on. One question I have is how do I disconnect the wires? Do I just snip them where they are connected at the pickups and knobs? Much appreciated, Mark

Hi Everyone. I am new to this site as well. I have no experience is designing, modifying, or doing any work on a guitar outside of playing it and maintaining it. I did start a post yesterday about a Tele that I am modifying, then realized I should introduce myself here. This site seems like an awesome place for resources and everything you could imagine. I want to post some pics in my thread, but am already having issues doing so. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this. Much appreciated, Mark

Hello. I am planning on modifying my current Telecaster that I have. It is a Squire (which is why I have chosen this one), I think I paid maybe $200 for it when I got it. Looking through these forums, my project will probably not nearly extensive as some posted. What I plan on doing is stripping the current paint off of it, repainting it, replacing the pickups, knobs, tuning keys, etc. Right now it is kind of a Butterscotch Glossy color, I am not set on what I want to do, but I was thinking maybe a red stain with a white pickguard would look nice. As for electronics, I am undecided as well. Are there any suggestions on where to purchase items as this. So far I have bought the Fender Telecaster Handbook off of Amazon, which i Hope will come in handy as I have no experience in modifying a guitar. Thanks for any tips. Mark
